Cook asparagus properly – quick and easy recipe

If you don't know how to cook asparagus properly, we'll be happy to help - and give you a quick and easy recipe. Asparagus is a popular garnish that can be served with both chicken and fish.

You need the following ingredients:

– green asparagus – portion for 4 people – 1.6 kg / approx. 400 grams per person /

– 2-4 tbsp olive oil

– 1-2 cloves of garlic cut into small pieces

– 1 tbsp kosher salt

– ½ tsp freshly ground pepper

– lemon juice /one lemon/

Peel each individual spear of asparagus /since you are cooking green asparagus, only peel the lower part/. Then cut off the lower end, approx. 6-8 mm.

Cover a cake tray with aluminum foil and let the washed asparagus dry on it.

After 5 minutes, distribute the olive oil regularly over the asparagus, add pepper and salt and pour lemon juice on top.

Then either boil or cook in the oven at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Complete! The finished asparagus have a slightly brown shade

Chicken recipe

First cook the asparagus properly as described above, then prepare the chicken breast. For four servings you need the following ingredients:

– Chicken breast /250 g per portion/

– 2 tbsp olive oil

– 2-4 /depending on taste/ garlic cloves, finely chopped

– 2-3 sprigs of rosemary

– Pfeffer

– ¼ tea cup of white wine

– ½ cup Hühnerbrühe

– 2 tbsp lemon juice

– 2 EL Butter

Preheat the oven to 475 degrees. Heat a pan and only then add the olive oil. Salt the chicken breasts, add pepper and fry in the pan for about 3 minutes. Fry the chicken breasts at a medium temperature for another 10 minutes until golden brown. Turn the meat in the pan at least once. At the end, add the white wine and lemon juice and cook in the oven at 180-200 degrees - until only half of the sauce remains. Serve the meat with the asparagus and the sauce.
