You should take care of your vehicle and wash it thoroughly after winter. When cleaning the exterior of your vehicle, we recommend cleaning it at least every two weeks, or more often if it is heavily soiled or exposed to salt.

Which means are suitable?

You should not use dishwashing liquid on cars. Therefore, use a high-quality, easy-to-mix car shampoo with water. This makes car cleaning child’s play. Because bright cars don't go so fasthave scratcheslike dark ones, you can wash them with soft brushes. To avoid swirl marks and fading of the clear coat, it is best to use a wash mitt or sponge. To dry quickly and avoid water stains, a microfiber cloth is a real lifesaver.

Pre-wash with a high-pressure cleaner

Before cleaning the vehicle, make sure the paint is free of dirt, salt or other possible contaminants. Wash the vehicle thoroughly using a hose or pressure washer. Wheels, rims, car windows and body panels should all be rinsed.

Use car shampoo

After rinsing, wash the car thoroughly with car shampoo. You can thoroughly clean the entire vehicle by making circular movements with the washing mitt. After cleaning, rinse the vehicle again, this time from top to bottom.

For a car's rims and tires, you will need a special sponge or glove (there are also helpful wheel cleaners) that is not intended for the vehicle's body. The microscopic particles on the wheels are so numerous that they can stick to a glove and attack the clear coat.

Dry the vehicle

Do not let the car air dry. Because airborne dust condenses on even the smallest drop of water, this results in water spots and a poor paint finish in even the most ideal environment. A microfiber cloth is more effective for drying the car body from top to bottom. The wheels should be dried again with a separate cloth.

Tire shine and wax are a must

Applying wax to the clear coat protects the vehicle from rain and other contaminants and leaves a brilliant shine when the sun shines. Apply the wax using circular movements. Wait until it becomes slightly translucent and then remove it with a fresh microfiber cloth. To further improve the appearance of the vehicle, clean the sidewalls of the tires or use a tire shine spray.

Replace wiper

One piece of car maintenance advice is to replace your windshield wiper blades at least once a year. As winter comes to an end, signs of wear and tear often appear, such as cracked, torn or worn rubber and reduced wiping performance.

Different materials are usually used for the interior of vehicles. It can be plastic, textiles and leather, all of which are in close contact with each other. When working with leather, especially seats, a leather care product is an absolute must.

Clogged vents

Dust, dirt and germs of all kinds can get stuck in the ventilation openings of your vehicle. The result can be a dirty, musty interior of your vehicle as dust particles flow everywhere. Clean your vents with a compressed air spray. The dust is blown out of the vents and you can be confident that your air supply is clean. If you don't have aerosol on hand, you can also clean the vents with an old paint brush or vacuum up the dust with a portable vacuum cleaner.

Clean the center console, cockpit and all plastic parts with a microfiber cloth and lukewarm water. If you find stubborn stains, you can also purchase a cockpit spray.

Use vacuum cleaner

Once you have removed the loose dust, you can vacuum the remaining areas of the interior. When vacuuming, use a gentle, fine-bristled brush to check vents, seat cushions, door pockets, and similar areas for dust. Before vacuuming carpets and floor mats, use a stiffer brush to remove dirt and grime that has settled on these surfaces. It doesn't take long for the doormats to become soaked with dirt from muddy shoes. To clean them, remove all floor mats from the interior of your vehicle. Briefly vacuum each mat before continuing with cleaning.
