How is the Kipli natural mattress made?
Nowadays, latex mattresses are available in three versions: Synthetic latex consists of rubber with only synthetic components and has lower point elasticity compared to natural latex. The mixed form of rubber and synthetic latex can have a different proportion of the natural substance depending on the quality. As a rule of thumb: the higher the proportion of natural rubber, the higher quality the mattress is. The Italian manufacturer Kipli specializes in the production of natural latex mattresses. The natural material used to make its products is obtained exclusively from GOLS certified plantations (without pesticides) using a traditional method. First, the bark of the trees is cut, then the milky sap (the liquid latex) is collected in containers and then the liquid is processed into rubber-like rubber. Incidentally, Kipli has completely avoided using chemical adhesives; instead, the two mattress layers are usedliquid rubberglued together. Rubber is an environmentally friendly material because, unlike foam, it is biodegradable and therefore ecologically harmless.

Structure of the natural latex mattress from Kipli
Every Kipli mattress can be used on both sides. One side was manufactured using the so-called Talay process, in which the material is evenly distributed into a mold, then processed into a gel and finally vulcanized. The even distribution of the material and air bubbles in the rubber makes this monozone with a density of 65 kg/m³ particularly soft. The other side is more solid and consists of five zones with a density of 85 kg/m³. A breathable cover with two sides: one made of cotton for summer and one made of merino wool for winter, and is also equipped with a breathable band. All products are made exclusively to measure and then sent immediately, without storage, in a linen bag. This guarantees the comfort of even the most demanding sleepers!
