Wall decoration with wooden discs for air plants
Air plants like tillandsias are an excellent decoration idea for every season. These plants do not need any substrateand can hold on to almost any object. To support rooting, you can either glue the plant with clear silicone or tie it with a thin nylon band.
To create an attractive wall decoration for the transitional period, you can make these plant stands for air plants. Small pipe clamps are screwed onto the wooden discs and the plants are arranged inside. The project is not complicated at all, but requires a little technical skill. To make your decoration last longer, apply 1-2 coats of water-based wood varnish to the tree disc.
Notice: Real copper is toxic to air plants. If you like the look, use copper-colored pipe clamps.

Decoration with wooden discs in spring: DIY vase with balloon
Decorating with wooden slices is the perfect way to bring nature into your home. We will now explain how you can make a vase yourself with small wooden discs, which is a visual eye-catcher in the interior every season. All you need is a balloon and hot glue. There is also a glass vessel that stands in the middle of the rustic vase. You can arrange the vase with different flowers depending on the season or fill it with artificial plants.
Instructions
- Inflate the balloon and place it, tied side down, on a glass or bowl. Secure it with some tape so it doesn't wobble.
- First, place the first wooden disc on the balloon without gluing it.
- Apply hot glue to the side of the next piece of wood and glue it to the first. Be careful not to drip the glue onto the balloon or it may burst.
- Repeat the process by arranging the wooden discs around the balloon. Hold each disc in place for a few seconds until the glue sets.
- Once the wooden discs begin to curve around the base, flip the balloon over and add more discs to the top until the desired height of the vase is reached.
- Then pop the balloon and remove the remains.
- Put the glass jar in the vase, fill it with water and place some beautiful tulips or other flowers of your choice in it.
Danger: The wooden discs arenotglued to the balloon! Since you are working with hot glue here, this can cause the balloon to burst. Always apply the hot glue to the side of the wooden disc that you will glue next.
