What are blackheads?
So that you know how to remove blackheads, you should first understand what they are and how they form. Blackheads, also known as comedones or blackheads, are a type of clogged pore. Despite their appearance, they have nothing to do with the skin being dirty or unkempt. They form when dead skin cells build up over the pores due to excess sebum production and clog the hair follicles. Blackheads can occur alone or together with acne and most often occur in the T-zone (forehead, nose and chin). In principle, anyone can get blackheads, but people with combination or oily skin are particularly affected.
The most common causes of blackheads
Regardless of age, skin type or gender –Pimples and blackheadscan really make your life hell. According to a study, around 60 percent of 20 to 29 year olds and 45 percent of 30 to 40 year olds are affected by the lousy black dots. Below we have put together the most common causes that can lead to the formation of blackheads.
- Hormone fluctuations due to pregnancy, menstrual cycle or puberty –When hormonal balance is disrupted, the skin produces excess oil, which clogs pores and promotes the formation of blackheads and pimples.
- Incorrect or inadequate skin care –The right care products and the right skin care are crucial for beautiful and healthy skin. Creams that are too rich can clog pores and promote blackheads. As with all other skin problems, “prevention is better than cure”. Every time you leave the house, your skin attracts dirt. If not cleaned thoroughly, the skin oil cannot drain away properly, which in turn can lead to pimples and blackheads. So be sure to cleanse your face thoroughly twice a day and remove all traces of makeup.
- Unhealthy diet –Beauty comes from within and an unhealthy diet high in sugar and fat can have a negative impact on the complexion. Minerals and vitamins such as vitamin C, biotin, iron and zinc are extremely important for healthy and clear skin.
