Do you want to get the sunkissed look in your hair without a vacation by the sea? Then consider having your hair colored using the balayage technique. It is a hair coloring technique developed in France in the 1970s and is used to create highlights in the hair. They are drawn freehand, without foil. For a beach look, the roots remain dark and the highlights are accentuated with a lighter tone. The hair looks as if it was “kissed by the sun”.
Benefits of the balayage technique
This coloring technique has certain advantages compared to foil highlights. First of all, balayage is very easy to maintain because there is no straight line and you don't have to go to the salon every few weeks to have the regrown roots colored. You can wear your color for up to four months! Transitions also appear much more natural than with foils. To achieve a great result, the contrast should not be too strong.
Balayage is also ideal for women with sensitive scalps or those getting their hair colored for the first time. This effect looks best on natural, undyed hair, but this does not mean that alreadycolored hairare not suitable for this.
Who is this coloring technique suitable for?
It is suitable for both short and long hair, but the longer the hair, the more noticeable the effect. For optimal results, the highlights suit women with longer, wavy hair.
