We will explain to you in detail how you can recreate the glossy look and give you tips on the new products that belong in your cosmetic bag from now on!
Glossy glow make-up for a natural complexion
Just a few months ago, make-up artists were trying to precisely contour the models' faces and create artistic highlights. But this summer we're back to wearing simple, sheer Dewy makeup that looks natural and doesn't need to be applied so precisely. Contouring is completely avoided. Instead, new cosmetic products are used. The face gloss, which is completely transparent, has a creamy texture and, unlike powders, does not contain any shimmering pigments, is currently enjoying great popularity. It scores with a light texture that allows the skin to breathe and is therefore perfect as a finish for Dewy make-up. Similar to other highlighters, the product is applied to the cheekbones, chin and above the Cupid's bow with a special brush or gently dabbed on with your fingers. It is important that the blush or the base underneath also has a creamy texture. The gloss cannot be blended with powder. This makes the shine look particularly natural.
If desired, the shine can be combined with the so-called glossy eye shadows and with a lip gloss. Then one arisessummery look, perfect for parties and evening walks. If you prefer to keep your make-up subtle, opt for matte eyeshadow and lipstick. This makes the face look particularly fresh and the skin shines.
Just emphasize the eyes
The Dewy Look has already found its way onto the faces of bloggers in the USA. If you don't feel comfortable applying gloss all over your face, try highlighting just your eyes with shiny eyeshadow first. The Dewy look is very popular not only because it looks very effective, but also because it is very easy to recreate. Another advantage of this make-up idea is that you don't have to buy extra eye shadow.
Here's how you can emphasize your eyes with gloss:
1. Apply a primary to the eyelids as usual. The product prevents the eyeshadows and gloss from smudging and provides the perfect base for your summer make-up. Apply the primer with a brush and then gently pat it onto the eyelids.
2. Now you can apply the eyeshadows. Similar to facial gloss, you must only use cosmetic products with a creamy texture for your eyes. Whatas far as the colors are concerned, there are no limits. You can combine different shades according to your choice. But don't forget that the gloss makes the color even more intense and will automatically draw attention to your eyes.
3. As soon as you have made up your eyes as usual, you can also apply the gloss. To do this, use a flat brush, starting in the inner corner of the eye, and only apply the gloss gel to the visible areas. Avoid applying the gloss in the crease of your eyelids. If you don't have eye gloss available, you can also use face glow or even lip gloss.
4. Carry the eye shadows and eye gloss in your purse. Anything that has a creamy texture and is applied to the eyes needs to be touched up every 4-5 hours. Otherwise the eyeshadows will settle in the crease of the eyelids.
Dewy make-up: Subtly emphasize eyes and lips
The rule of thumb for natural make-up is actually to emphasize either the eyes or the lips. Neither works, then the face looks like a mask. However, you don't necessarily have to follow this rule of thumb when applying face gloss to your face. Make up your eyes with nude eyeshadow, enhance your lips with a pink lip gloss and emphasize your cheekbones with blush. Then add several highlights to her face to make it shine. Don't overdo the shine. Apply just enough to the face so that slight reflections appear and the skin shimmers when the light hits it.
Although the glossy glow make-up is pretty straightforward and therefore proves to be an everyday option for the summer, you need to practice at least 2-3 times at home to recreate the perfect Dewy look.
