Exposed concrete is a popular design element in modern architecture and is not only used in facade design, but is also used as an accent in interior design. A beautiful example of this is this single-family home with a veranda, where concrete walls serve as highlights inside and out. The rough look of the concrete is combined with gray furniture and wooden elements inside and with natural greenery outside.
This beautiful and cozy house is located in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv and is designed by Danna Segal Lerner. The interior design consists of a successful oneMix of gray tones, wooden elements, white walls and ceilings and patterned carpets. The concrete walls inside only serve as accents in some rooms and provide a great contrast to the other white walls and ceiling. At the same time, the exposed concrete harmonizes with the furniture, which has different shades of gray. The window frames and other wooden elements create a feeling of home and ensure more warmth and coziness in the interior.
The house is built on two floors and has several common rooms. A spacious, open-plan living area with dining area and kitchen is located next to the veranda and offers aunobstructed view of the garden. A passage without a door in the concrete wall leads to the TV room and stairwell. The same wall continues outside and is planted with green climbing plants. Therefore, the concrete walls inside and out are actually a single wall, left untouched in their rough appearance.
In addition to the concrete walls inside and outside, the house's beautiful veranda is another highlight of the architecture. The cozy outdoor area is ideal for a relaxing stay outdoors and is also richly planted. The dining area is under a concrete canopy and is wide and spacious. The dining table is tiled and therefore perfect for outdoor use. Sliding glass doors allow direct access from the open living space inside to the veranda. A green lawn, a few trees and climbing plants transform this area into a green oasis and invite you to linger.
