A modern single-family home in a sparsely populated suburb of Bangkok, Thailand was designed byAyutt and Associates Designdesigned. The project is called PK79 after the name of the street and street number where it is located. The starting point of the concept was the lack of safety in the area due to the large distance between residential buildings in the area. The architects solved the problem very sustainably and the result was an excellent example of modern urban Zen living.
Inside and outside is the housein a simple wayand designed for Zen living. Black and white are the same basic colors, even from a distance. The straight-lined buildings are also characterized by this. The outer walls consist of floor-to-ceiling glass surfaces that expand the interior to the outside. The private rooms on the upper floor have terraces that offer 360° views of the property.
Foldable panels made of powder-coated perforated sheet metal ensure safety, privacy and sun protection. These protect the private sphere, but do not prevent the free flow of air.
