Happy Aging: What the skin needs so that it can age beautifully

When I was 25 years old, I was sure that I would start having Botox injections by my 30th birthday at the latest. “Start early so that there are no problems at allarise,” was my motto. Today I'm 34 years old, I smile at myself for this project and think to myself: What did I know in my mid-20s?

Nowadays I think it's nice to see that a face is alive. That it felt joy and sorrow, that it was surprised, tired and sad. Real(i.e. what mainly constitutes a charisma) comes from within for me. And yes, of course you can support your skin as you get older. For example, by caring for them according to their needs and using products that work and don't promise miracles. Which give the skin what it needs with well thought-out formulations and make it look its best. Happy aging, instead of anti-aging! Because let's be honest: we (hopefully) can't avoid getting older - let's make the most of it and celebrate what we have!

Skincare technologies that aim to counteract skin aging

There are regularly new, innovative approaches to make skin care even more effective. Neurocosmetics, for example, i.e. products that contain a compound ofand brains go out. The assumption: Special ingredients can exchange information with the neuroreceptors in the skin. This is intended to slow down cell aging and improve the complexion.

Serums are now indispensableand vitamin C, which can improve skin texture, refine pores and lighten pigmentation spots. Personally, I always look at new products with excitement. But unlike a few years ago, I don't mind making too big promises. I think hardly anyone really believes that a cream can erase wrinkles anymore. That's not what it's about these days. It's more about preserving what you have - and about ingredients that make sense and are cleverly coordinated with each other.

What types of wrinkles are there and can they be prevented?

You can prevent wrinkles through a healthy lifestyle. This includes, for example, that you have enough, drinks water and is not under constant stress. Fine lines can become visible early on due to pronounced facial expressions, lack of fluids or too much sun. Over time, this can develop into deeper wrinkles. The latter arise from the breakdown of collagen, which begins in your mid-20s.

Fine lines can be reduced and smoothed with sensible care. Pronounced wrinkles cannot be tapped or creamed away. But: You can continue to strengthen the skin barrier and protect it from free radicals and UV rays.

Happy aging: This care makes it possible

This isn't the first time you've read the following, but I'll repeat it anyway:is the be-all and end-all to prevent premature skin aging. I use a CC cream with SPF all year round, and in the summer I also use a sunscreen specifically for my face. A care routine is also important, which should include, among other things, thoroughly cleaning yourself every eveningto clean (I don't even go to bed with makeup on after a night of partying!).

It is also essential to use a moisturizer that is tailored to your skin type and ensures that the skin is always moisturized and therefore looks well-groomed. Depending on the season, you may have to choose a lighter or richer product. You can also do your skin good with a balanced diet. Essential for it to remain in its natural balance are vitamins A, B, C and E, beta-carotene, zinc, selenium and omega three and six.

    Redefining the image of beauty

After years of trial and error, I have now established a care routine that cleanses and cares for my skin better than ever before. I rely on sensitively formulated basic products for cleaning and on dermatological, innovative productsand serum. In addition to everything you can do yourself for healthy skin, in my opinion it really depends on your own mindset. How do you define beauty for yourself? It helps when more and more fashion houses start working with models of different ages. And when it's not just young people (especially women!) who appear on advertising posters.

For a long time, a flawless complexion was nice for me. And it's so flawless that it's actually unrealistic. Today I see it differently. I think contentment is beautiful. Anyone who is at peace with themselves radiates outwards - regardless of whether wrinkles enrich the face or not. For me, this is much more attractive than smooth skin. Getting older is a privilege. Aging beautifully is the best way. Compulsive on a young personHowever, wanting to hold on to something is no longer appropriate.
