In winter it tends to be like this: either iswarm and functional – or not so warm, but stylish. By the way, I'm writing this sentence while I'm wearing a thick wool sweater, a hat and long underpants. Strictly speaking, it's not a look that particularly inspires me or brings me joy, but mainly ensures that I don't freeze in my drafty old apartment.
The Scandinavians prove that you can wear both a warm and trendy outfit. No wonder, at -10 or -20 degrees Celsius (which is in Sweden oris not unusual), paper-thin tights under the skirt are of little help. With these tips you (and I!) can also achieve stylish winter looks:
What is important in stylish outfits for winter 2024/25
Natural colors make winter looks super stylish. For more freshness, you can combine them with other colors and still have a calm, elegant outfit. A mix of different materials is also great: wool with denim, suede orapproximately.

An absolute game changer for a winter outfit is also: layering. By combining different textile layers with each other, you have so much more freedom and you don't have to always use the same thinggrab. Maybe the following tips will inspire you to add a little more fashion variety in the coming months.
Trendy winter outfits: 5 tips to avoid freezing and looking stylish
1. Choose functional pieces
That doesn't mean that you should wear special functional clothing. Rather, for example, you wear woolen jackets that you can actually close with buttons. So cool one worn openIt may look like this, but in the dead of winter it makes absolutely no sense. The same applies to the lengths of sleeves and trouser legs: short cuts are cool, but not particularly warming in winter. Rolled-up trouser legs or pushed-up sleeves are more practical because, if in doubt, you can wear them long.
2. Wear collared clothing
Predestined for cold winter days: turtleneck sweater. You can either wear them on their own or style a thin turtleneck top with a chunky oversized wool sweater. But a classic Kent collar is also great because you can put it up around your neck as soon as you get cold. Alternatively and super cool: convert the sleeves of a wool sweater into a scarf like Filippa K did.
3. Combine thin with warm
Of course you can fineCan also be worn in winter - as long as you wear a cardigan over it, for example. Silk dresses don't have to wait until spring in the closet either. If you wear thin, warm underwear underneath (for example a wool-silk undershirt) and a fluffy sweater and coat on top, you can wear a thin dress even in winter. You could also replace tights with trousers to create a modern layered look.
4. Set to different lengths
Do you want to wear a short dress? Then the cardigan you put on top should be either shorter or longer than the dress. And the coat is ideally extra long so that your legs don't freeze. Instead of ankle boots, high boots are suitable, which provide an additional layer of warmth for the calves.
5. Wear socks
For a while, bare ankles were all the rage. No idea how manybecause of this trend (including me). If you really want to wear shoes with a short shaft in winter, choose thick socks. Because yes: knitted socks with boots can look really cool. Alternatively, finer wool or cashmere socks can also keep you warm.
