After the unexpected fashion news in May, thatbecomes the new creative director of Canada Goose, his first collection for fall/winter 2024/25 follows. The Toronto-based outerwear label named the Colombian-born French designer, known for his avant-garde luxury fashion and his eponymous label, as the brand's first creative director this spring. Haider Ackermann will lead the company into a new era and improve the brand's creative aesthetic. His first collection “Snow Goose” combines outerwear with Ackermann's style - and the designer is once again bringing in for his-Collection support from Hollywood.
Haider Ackermann Creative Director at Canada Goose
Outerwear stands in extreme contrast to Ackermann's luxurious roots. In 2002 he founded his label of the same name, with which he presented his last fashion show in February 2020. Last year, Ackermann took over the couture show as a guest designerand joins Chitose Abe, Glenn Martens and Olivier Rousteing as the fourth designer to collaborate with the French fashion house. In recent years, Ackermann has attracted attention primarily by outfitting actors on red carpets such as Timothée Chalamet and Tilda Swinton. Further unexpected news followed in September: Haider Ackermann was appointed Tom Ford's new creative director. He succeeds Peter Hawkings, the long-time design deputy of the company's founder and namesake Tom Ford. Hawking left the label in July after two seasons. Ackermann's first collection for Tom Ford will be presented at Paris Fashion Week in March 2025.
The collaboration with Canada Goose is not Haider Ackermann's first experience with performance clothing, as he already worked with Fila on a collection for November 2022. For Canada Goose, the long-term collaboration follows a series of luxury collaborations including Marc Jacobs, Y/Project, Junya Watanabe and Vetements.

“Snow Goose”: Haider Ackermann’s first collection for Canada Goose
For Snow Goose, Ackermann was inspired by Canada Goose's nearly seven-decade-old archives. For his first fall/winter collection 2024, he not only combined craftsmanship and functionality with fresh and cool silhouettes and a strong color palette. He also brought back Canada Goose's former name - Snow Goose. The brand was rebranded in 2000, and now Snow Goose is positioned alongside the main line as a “Heritage” line with a new logo. The collection includes more than 60 pieces, including, from parkas, light down jackets to rain and wind jackets, knitwear, ready-to-wear andfor women and men. The highlight of the collection: The “Rider” parka is Ackermann's reinterpretation of a classic design originally developed for the Ontario Police, who are often exposed to extreme weather conditions.
Ackermann once again received support from Hollywood for his fall/winter campaign. After Jane Fonda comes actor Ethan Hawke. He is the campaign face of the Snow Goose line, photographed by Willy Vanderperre.
