    And it's that easy:

    1. First, chop up the rolls and soak them in water.
    2. In the meantime, finely chop the onions and parsley. Put 1 tablespoon of clarified butter in a pan, fry the onions until translucent, then set the pan aside.
    3. Squeeze the water out of the rolls and mix everything well in a bowl with the onions, parsley, minced meat and eggs. Season with salt and pepper.
    4. Grease the oven tin (a loaf tin is best) and preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Pour the mixture into the tin and bake on the lowest rack for 20 minutes. In the meantime, melt butter in a pot and then brush it over the meatloaf and bake for another 20 minutes.
    5. Heat the beef stock in the onion pan, add the cream and simmer briefly. Season with paprika, salt and pepper.
    6. Pour the sauce over the roast and let it braise in the oven again for 15 minutes.

    This goes with this:

    Classic side dishes

    1. Mashed potatoes:
Creamy, buttery and perfect for soaking up the sauce from the meatloaf. A real classic!
    2. Potatoes in different variations:
      • Baked potatoes
      • Boiled potatoes
      • Potato gratin for a slightly richer taste.
    3. Rotkohl:
Aromatic red cabbage brings a sweet and sour note into play and complements the heartiness of the meatloaf.
    4. Peas and carrots:
A classic vegetable combination that brings both color and light flavor to the plate.

    Fresh and light side dishes

    1. Green salad:
A crisp, fresh side salad with a light dressing balances the heaviness of the meatloaf.
    2. Cucumber salad:
With dill and a sour dressing it provides freshness.
    3. Cauliflower or broccoli:
Steamed, with butter and a touch of nutmeg.

    Rustic side dishes

    1. Crispy farmer's bread:
A slice of bread to dip into the sauce is an easy and delicious option.
    2. Sauerkraut:
A great addition, especially in hearty cuisine.
    3. Fried onions:
They can add an extra savory touch to the meatloaf.
