“Love is Blind: Germany”: This couple got married on the Netflix show
Be careful, massive spoilers follow for episode 9 of “Love is Blind: Germany” on Netflix
No, but - oh! This is probably what many viewers reacted to when they watched the wedding episodehave seen.
As a reminder: three couples were ready to marry, with a registry office, and everything - but only one couple really dared and said yes.
What happens in the wedding episode (episode 9) of “Love is Blind: Germany”?
– at the end of episode 8 of “Love is Blind: Germany” they are all well on their way to entering the harbor of marriage and starting a future together with their perfect match. But who really emerges as a married couple at the end of the first season of “Love is Blind: Germany”? This is what we reveal –with really massive spoilers- here.
“Love is Blind: Germany”: Hanni and Daniel
We remember: At the end of episode 8, Hanni was only two double doors away from her very own “Happily ever after” with her fiancé Daniel. But does she really open the door, walk up to Daniel and say yes? Not quite: The couple stands opposite each other, Daniel agrees to marry his dream woman - and Hanni refuses. Nobody really expected that!
Daniel and Hanni also wanted to get married on “Love is Bind: Germany”.
Eren Karatas/NetflixHanni and Daniel, who are already togethergot engaged are absolute fan favorites. However, we saw that Hanni was struggling in part 2 of the season. And even if Daniel gave her thecould take, it clearly wasn't enough for “forever”. When Hanni breaks off the wedding, Daniel (understandably) leaves the room disappointed and alone - in front of family and friends who were of course invited to the wedding!
However, if you think that Hanni and Daniel are parting on bad terms, you are wrong: Later in the episode you see Hanni visiting her now ex-fiancé at the wedding location and they remain in a familiar silence and also cry a little together.
What was the reason why it didn't work? As an outsider you can only assume that, but one thing is certain: Deciding on the person you want to marry and start a future together with in just 30 days may be an impossibility. And so perfect everything in the episodes ofprepared for the audience, it is also a decision that Hanni and Daniel (and all the other candidates) have to make, at best, for their entire lives.
“Love is Blind: Germany”: Sally und Medina
The two comeback lovebirds venture together to...- although they don't celebrate their wedding together afterwards. Because Medina and Sally broke off the marriage at the last moment and said no instead of yes. Say whaaat?
Sally and Medina at their wedding
Eren Karatas/NetflixLet's remember: Sally and Medina are both very Christian - and for them there is more at stake than just a connection before the law. For both of them, it's about a forever marriage vow, which in the Christian faith is literally understood as “forever”. There is no provision for divorce because one might have married on a whim or as part of an experiment. Both have emphasized several times - independently of each other - that Christian values play a central role in Sally and Medina's everyday life.
That Medina and Sally wanted more time to get to know their “forever” people? Understandable. Either way, the two seem to get along well – perhaps on a (for now?) platonic level.
“Love is Blind: Germany”: Alina and Ilias
Confetti and fanfare, balloons and congratulations: Alina and Ilias got married on “Love is Blind: Germany”! The two, who many viewers thought could be separated by jealousy and perhaps an internal “LiB” flirtation, both said yes.
They said yes: Ilias und Alina
