Everything about “Squid Game”, Season 3: The finale of the Netflix series
The finale ofis coming – even though the second season was only given to us around the holidays. The first season of the Koreanwas an absolute surprise hit that everyone was talking about for weeks afterwards. The second season - despite good reviews and a number 1 spot on the Netflix charts - didn't have as big of a cultural impact. Season 2 doesn't seem to have ended with the last episode either - the third season was filmed directly afterwards and will also be released in 2025. What do we need to know about the next season and when does it finally continue?
What will season 3 of “Squid Game” be about?
We currently don't officially know anything about the plot of season 3. The story is told to the end and open questions should be answered. Who is really behind the games and can they be stopped? The only mission of the winner of the games, Seong Gi-hun, is actually to stop the killing.
(Spoilers for Season 2)In the season finale, Gi-hun is seen organizing an uprising, which is unfortunately brutally suppressed. Jung-bae - his best friend - is tragically killed and the situation looks hopeless for now. But giving up is not the solution.
Who will be in season 3?
Since Lee Seo-hwan's character was killed in the last episode, he will probably not appear in the next season. Official information about the cast is not yet known, but we can well imagine that the following actors will still be there:

Is there a trailer for season 3 of “Squid Game” yet?
There is no official trailer yet, just a short first look introducing a new character! Young-hee, the robot girl from the “Red Light, Green Light” game, meets a new male robot, Chul-soo. This scene mirrored the post-credit scene from the end of Season 2. What will be the new deadly game? Unclear.

Oops, Netflix Korea must have accidentally announced something really exciting. According to reports on X (formerly Twitter), the YouTube channel released a teaser over the New Year with the alleged launch date.
