“The White Lotus” was extended by a third season: We know that about it
It was undoubtedly one of the most hypodenced series in recent years - but after a dramatic finale, all good things have to come to an end. Sad. But now, in February 2025, the third season of “The White Lotus” comes to HBO in the USA and Sky in Germany. In which fancy vacation resort will the next deaths, revelations and collapse take place?

This is the first teaser for “The White Lotus”
A mini-teaser really made anticipation for the new season of the series.
So what do we see in this short time? A breathtaking holiday resort (of course), a spacious recording of the beautiful Thai coast and the slogan “What happens in Thailand remains in Thailand ...”. We couldn't be more excited.
“The White Lotus”: How many seasons are there?
So far there are two seasons of “The White Lotus”: The first season of the series is playing in Hawaii, in the second season all sorts of dramas take place on Sicily.
And “The White Lotus” will also return for a third season. The creator, author and executive producer of the series, Mike White, made an official explanation in 2022: “There is no place where I would rather work than at HBO, and there are no people with whom I would rather work with than with Casey Bloys, Francesca Orsi, Nora Skinner and her incredible team. I feel so happy to get this opportunity again and look forward to getting back together with my incredibly talented employees: inside 'The White Lotus'. ”
On November 18, 2022, HBO also tweeted: “I can't wait to welcome you in the next White Lotus project. #Thewhitelotus was extended for season 3. ”

“The White Lotus”: Where will season 3 play?
In an interview with HBO, Mike White gave evidence shortly after the second season finale that the “White Lotus Resort” could be in Asia. Now it is clear: For the upcoming season it goes to Thailand!
And in a YouTube clip by HBO with the title “Unpacking Season 2: Episode 7 with Mike White”, White added: “The first season was somehow about money and in season second. I think that the third season may be a satirical and funny look at death and eastern religion and spirituality. It feels like it could be a rich wall carpet to turn another round at 'The White Lotus'. ”
Okay, we can only speculate! In addition to death, there are a lot of other topics that Mike White could celebrate in his hit series: power, life, childhood, society-it is a wide field.
According to Mike White, however, several components play together for the basic topic of the series: “Sicily was a completely different mood than the idea that I suggested. That just didn't seem to be right, ”he said in an interview withEntertainment Weekly.
