While recently the focus was on sweaters with statement collars, this year those that thrive on understatement are also popular again. So the stage is set for knits with a clean cut and crew-neck sweaters, which often come in muted colors. They are true styling all-rounders, as they work alone or as one, for example worn over a shirt (also with a statement collar!) or T-shirt. But also as, for example over a thinner sweater or trench coat, these basic knits work wonderfully.

Pure cashmere crew neck sweater
In: Brushed finish sweater; out: crochet sweater
When the temperatures drop, we all like to be extra cozy - and that's exactly where this sweater trend comes in. This fall, fluffy (mohair) sweaters are conquering not only our Instagram and TikTok feeds, but also online stores and therefore our wardrobes. Mostly in a minimalist crewneck cut, so you can avoid two trends in one piece. However, we don't shop in the cold half of the year: summer crochet sweaters.
Alpaca wool blend sweater from Toteme
In: Sweater in autumn leaf colors aka THE trend colors of the season; out: neon colors
This season's trend colors are reminiscent of a walk in the park on a sunny autumn day, with the colorful foliage shining in the sun: dark red, earth tones, dark green. And this earthy color palette doesn't stop at the sweater trends either. So rely on knits in exactly these shades and you are guaranteed to be trendy in no time. Don't have a moment for that this season: sweaters in screaming neon tones.
