If someone wants to send you money, all you have to do is open your PayPal app and show the QR code. The person who wants to send you money has to scan the code and can then easily make the payment. The practical thing about it: you are sure that the money actually goes to the right recipient.
#2 PayPal hack: split the invoice
You and your friends want to split a bill at the restaurant? Or were you invited to a birthday party and one of your group got the gift? While we used to have to laboriously calculate who would get how much money, today we can easily send money free of charge using PayPal's “Send money to friends and family” function, which then reaches the recipient immediately.
But it's even easier: If you select the "Request" option under Payments in the PayPal app or browser, you can split the invoice under "More payment options for your customers". All you have to do is enter the total amount and the names of everyone sharing the bill.
PayPal then takes care of the rest and divides the amount equally among everyone. Everyone will then receive a payment request and can easily pay the amount via PayPal.
