Recipe for creamy apple-cinnamon porridge
What sounds and tastes like a calorie bomb is actually a super low-calorie and filling breakfast. Simply heavenly for the cold winter days.
Ingredients for one serving
- 1 apple
- Approx. 70 g oat flakes (tender)
- 100 ml milk (or vegan version)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 TL Vanillepuddingpulver
- Sweetness of your choice
- Toppings: z. B. Mandelblättchen
Preparation:
1. Cut the apple into small, bite-sized pieces and place in a pan with a little margarine. Fry until slightly softened, sprinkle with cinnamon and fry for another minute or two.
2. Put half of the milk in a small saucepan and warm it carefully, until slightly steaming (do not boil!)
3. Put the other half in a cup and stir in the vanilla pudding powder.Important:Mix well so that no lumps form. Add the vanilla mixture to the apple pieces and let everything simmer briefly. Then remove the apple-vanilla mixture and milk from the heat.
Also delicious:
4. Now put the oat flakes in a bowl, add the warm milk over it and sweeten it as desired. I like to use a low-calorie sugar alternative (available here on Amazon*). Now let the porridge swell a little until the oat flakes have completely absorbed the milk.
Optional:If it's not creamy enough for you, you can also add a dash of milk (or water).
5. Finally, add the apple pieces with the vanilla pudding to the porridge and refine with nuts or other delicacies - enjoy your meal!
