Recipe for lentil stew with sausages: Hearty and spicy
Our lentil stew with sausages is probably one of the classics among the most popular autumn dishes. And rightly so, because the combination of delicious vegetables and hearty sausages complement each other perfectly.
Here you can spoon yourself into the culinary land of milk and honey. Because our stew warms you from the inside and is simply soul food, the way we love it. It's best to go straight to the soup bowl and get started!
You need:
- 1 onion
- 2 carrots
- 2 potatoes
- 1 celeriac
- 2 tbsp rapeseed oil
- 1 piece of bacon
- 250 grams of lentils
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 EL Senf
- 1 liter vegetable broth
- 4 sausages
- Salt
- Pfeffer
- Zucker
- Nutmeg
- Parsley, freshly chopped

Preparation is so easy:
1. Peel the onion and cut it into fine cubes. Clean and dice vegetables. Set the diced potatoes aside and fry the remaining vegetables together in a pot with a little oil and a little bacon.
2. Soak the lentils according to the package instructions. Then add to the vegetables. Deglaze with vinegar and let it boil down. Add the vegetable broth, chopped potatoes and mustard. Everything approx.20 – 30 minuteslet simmer.
3. Cut the sausages into small pieces, add them to the stew and let everything steep. Season the stew generously with salt, pepper, nutmeg and sugar and garnish with finely chopped parsley before serving.
Our tip:Stews usually taste particularly good when they are well cooked. That's why they're often even more delicious the next day and taste really hearty.
