You don't know what to cook today? Perhaps this recipe for a tasty tasting cauliflower is helping you with minced meat.
When I say that I really always get a look after this casserole, it is not exaggerated or even lying. Because the combination of hearty minced meat, cauliflower and an unbeatably delicious cheese sauce with which the whole thing is baked is guaranteed to convince everyone at the table. And the casserole is also low carb.
If you are not the biggest cauliflower fan, you can exchange the vegetables for broccoli or kohlrabi. The same applies to all those who do not feed low carb: potatoes also make a great figure in the casserole.

Recipe for a cauliflower casserole with minced meat
Ingredients for 4 portions:
- 1 large cauliflower
- 1 Lorbeerblatt
- 50 ml milk
- 500 g minced meat
- 1 onion
- 2 away
- 20 g Butter
- 20 g Mehl
- 250 ml of water from the cauliflower cooking
- 200 ml Sahne
- 100 g of herbal melting cheese
- Salt and pepper
- nutmeg
And this is how it works:
1. First divide the cauliflower into florets and clean. Cook in plenty of salt water with a bay leaf and 50 ml of milk for about 15 minutes. Then drain, collect 250 ml from the brew.
2. Pull off the onion and dice finely. Heat the oil in a pan and braise the onion in it. Add the minced meat and fry crumbly. Season vigorously with salt and pepper.
3. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees upper/bottom heat.
4. Now melt the butter in a saucepan, add the flour and sweat while stirring. Deglaze the whole thing with the cauliflower water. Always stir in, while cream and melting cheese are added. Season the sauce with salt and nutmeg and simmer for 2-3 minutes over low heat.
5. Pour the minced meat into a baking dish, spread the cauliflower florets on top. Pour the whole thing over the cheese sauce and bake on a medium shelf in the oven for about 20 minutes.
