Oven macaroni in cheese and cream sauce: simply fall in love with it

Ingredients for 3-4 servings:

  • 300 Gram Macaroni
  • 2 onions
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 500 milliliters of vegetable broth
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 150 grams mountain cheese (grated)
  • 100 grams Parmesan (grated)
  • Salt, pepper
  • Nutmeg (grated)
  • 75 grams Emmental cheese (grated)

Preparation:

1. First, preheat the oven to 200 degrees fan. Put a pot full of salted water on the boil and cook the macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente.

2. In the meantime, peel 2 onions and chop finely. Melt the butter in a deep pan and sauté the onions until translucent. Dust the flour over it and stir in until a roux is formed. Deglaze the whole thing with broth and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.

3. Now stir in the cream and warm it up. Stir in the grated mountain cheese and Parmesan and let it melt into the sauce. Season the sauce with salt, pepper and grated nutmeg.

4. Place the pasta in a baking dish and pour the sauce over it. Spread the grated Emmental cheese over the casserole and let it bake on the middle rack in the oven for 30 minutes. That's it, it's ready to serve!
