Delicate snowflake cookies: easy to make and heavenly vanilla

Why are these little vanilla balls called snowflake cookies? Because they are just as tender and literally melt in your mouth, like the white flakes that fall from the sky in winter.

We actually love our snowflake cookies a little more than the classic vanilla crescents - because they are made a whole lot easier, are also incredibly vanilla-like and really turn out every time.

Simple recipe for vanilla snowflakes

What do we love about these tender cookies? We only need a few ingredients and we always have most of them in the pantry anyway. Since we use margarine and the recipe doesn't require any eggs, the Christmas cookies are even vegan!

Ingredients for approx. 40 pieces:

  • 250 g soft margarine
  • 300 g Flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 80 g icing sugar + icing sugar for dusting
  • 30 g cornstarch
  • 2 packs of vanilla sugar

And this is how the cookies turn out:

1. Open the oven170 degrees top/bottom heat (or 150 degrees circulating air)preheat.

2. Process the soft margarine, flour, baking powder, powdered sugar, cornstarch and 1 packet of vanilla sugar into a smooth dough.

3. Pick off small pieces of dough and roll them into balls. Depending on how big you want your cookies to be, you'll get around 40 pieces.

4. Place the balls on a baking tray lined with baking paper and press the balls lightly with a fork so that they get a pattern on top. Then for approx.10 to 15 minutesbake.

5. Mix the second packet of vanilla sugar with powdered sugar and generously dust the still lukewarm cookies with it. The snowflakes are ready!
