A creamy dessert is just the thing after the big Christmas dinner. It will be wonderfully Christmassy with this super simple vanilla crescent cream.
Simple, delicious and sure to succeed. This is how our Christmas dessert dream comes about: vanilla crescent cream.
The cream looks best served in matching dessert or mason jars(order directly from Amazon here*)out of. This is the easiest and most decorative way to portion it and also prepare it perfectly so that there is no stress at all. A real eye-catcher on every festive table.
Of course, this dessert tastes best with homemade ones. If you've already eaten them all, bought ones will do the same. The vanilla is the main player in our recipe.
It is therefore best to use homemade vanilla sugar. To make your own vanilla sugar, simply place a vanilla pod in a glass with 200 to 300 grams of powdered sugar and close it tightly. The vanilla sugar should sit for at least a week.

Recipe for vanilla crescent cream: Loose, light and wonderfully vanilla
Our sophisticated vanilla croissant cream looks very complicated, but is actually prepared in no time. This way you can conjure up a wonderful Christmas dessert on your table quickly and with little effort.
The cream scores with its extremely airy consistency, the vanilla crescents provide that certain crunch and Christmas note.
You need (for 4 glasses):
- 300 g crème fraîche
- 4 tablespoons bourbon vanilla sugar
- 12 vanilla crescents
- 70g Stage
It's that easy:
1. Mix the crème fraîche with the vanilla sugar until creamy.
2. First place two vanilla crescents into four glasses. Now whip the cream with a little bourbon vanilla sugar until stiff and mix with the crème fraîche.
3. Pour the cream into the glasses and smooth everything out. Decorate each dessert with a vanilla crescent and refrigerate until serving.
Our tip:If you like it a little fruitier, simply mix a few cranberries, raspberries or cherries into the cream.
Nuts and caramel for that special crunch
Crunchy toppings provide an exciting contrast to the creamy consistency of the vanilla crescent cream. Chopped nuts such as hazelnuts, almonds or walnuts are ideal for adding even more variety to the dessert. You can either use the nuts plain or lightly toast them in a pan beforehand to intensify their flavor.
It gets even more sophisticated with caramelized almonds or hazelnuts. To do this, simply roast a handful of nuts in a coated pan without fat, then add a little sugar and let it melt, stirring constantly, until the nuts are covered in a golden caramel layer.
Let them cool, chop roughly and sprinkle over the cream before serving. The result: a wonderful crunch and a subtle caramel aroma that goes perfectly with the sweet vanilla.
With these crunchy extras, the vanilla crescent cream becomes a highlight on your festive table, not only in terms of taste but also visually!
