When I see this perfume in the drugstore, the test bottle is almost always empty

When I'm currently standing in front of the perfume shelf in the drugstore, I notice that one tester is always emptier than the others. I'll tell you here which scent seems to be so popular.

If you have a little time, you'll stay - even longer. We're talking about a trip to the drugstore. Of course, we're not talking about all those who strictly work through their shopping list, never look left and right and actually only shop for what they really need. No, we mean all those who like to stroll through the aisles for a while, always discover new things and end up at the checkout with a basket full to the brim (with things that they might not even need).

A shelf that you sometimes overlook at dm, Rossmann, Müller or budni, but which is actually always quite well visited, is the perfume shelf. If you are not specifically looking for a new fragrance, you spontaneously decide which product ends up on the test strip or directly on your wrist. When spraying quickly, location, bottle design and name sometimes play a role.

I also stand here every now and then to spy out new products, test customers or sniff out hyped products. I've noticed something recently. Recently I always see a perfume bottle that is emptier than all the others. Which scent do I mean? The Eau de Toilette “Woman” by s.Oliver (here at Douglas*).

This scent from s.Oliver seems to be very popular at the moment

Of course, it always depends on which city and which drugstore branch you are in. But I personally noticed from a random sample that the s.Oliver fragrance probably doesn't spend its lonely existence on the shelf, but is apparently removed and tested quite often - otherwise the bottle wouldn't always be quite empty.

What is so special about the perfume? First of all: The s.Oliver brand is well known. The brand not only has fashion, shoes and accessories in its portfolio, but also fragrances. Anyone who sees the logo with the red lettering will discover something familiar. Added to this is the price of the products. You can get a s. Oliver perfume (30 ml) for between 9 and 15 euros.

The bottle of the “Woman” perfume stands out less because of its extravagant design or expressive color scheme than because of its minimalist, clear and reserved design. The only thing you notice about the white glass bottle is the red lettering and the red cap.

What does the perfume smell like? It is a classic, floral-woody scent: Douglas describes it as follows: “Bergamot, lime and red apple open the fragrance creation and lose themselves in the floral heart note. The background impresses with its seductive oriental flair.”

Something important at the end:Apart from the fact that the topic of fragrance is very individual and everyone has their own preferences, not every perfume smells the same on every person. This is partly because the fragrances react to the pH value of the skin. And this pH can vary from person to person.

Therefore: Tips and recommendations are always good. But you can only find out whether you ultimately like the scent and whether it smells the way you imagine if you test it yourself - ideally on your skin and not just on a strip of paper.
