Agios Nikolaos, Greece

Agios Nikolaos also impresses with pleasant temperatures of 16.4 degrees in winter. The small fishing village is located in the east of the island of Crete and impresses with its charming harbor and numerous beautiful restaurants. Right on the water and far away from all the hustle and bustle of the big city, you can spend the winter here perfectly and enjoy the sea breeze. From Agios Nikolaos you can also book exciting boat tours or simply relax on one of the small beaches.

Crete is a good option, especially for those on a budget among you. Because you can get the best Greek food locally for little money and the accommodation here isn't overly expensive either. In the evening you should definitely go down to the harbor and stroll through the small streets, this is where you get a real holiday feeling.

Syracuse, Italy

Another popular winter destination is Italy's largest island, Sicily. In the historic town of Syracuse you can enjoy fantastic Italian flair in winter with around 258 hours of sunshine. Here it stays warm up to 16.4 degrees even in winter and the glittering of the bright blue water of the Ionian Sea creates real summer vibes.

Syracuse is best known for its beautiful and Mediterranean architecture of historic buildings. You can see numerous museums and the Orecchio di Dionisio, a limestone cave shaped like a human ear, or enjoy a glass of wine and some bruschetta in the pretty old town.

Luz, Portugal

The Algarve is probably the most popular travel destination in Portugal. The southern region of Portugal not only offers breathtaking beaches, massive cliffs and plenty of sun, but also lots of beautiful cities to visit. One of them is the small town of Luz, in the west of the Algarve. The coastal town is not far from the beautiful sandy beach, which should not be too crowded in winter. With an average of around 250 hours of sunshine and an average temperature of 15.8 degrees, it's really easy to endure here.

Cala Rossa, France

There is also a beautiful place to spend the winter in France: namely on the beautiful dream island of Corsica. The French little sister of Sardinia is already one of the most sought-after travel destinations in summer. But even in the cold season, Corsica impresses with lots of sun and summery temperatures. The beautiful town of Cala Rossa is also a bay characterized by fabulous white sand and turquoise water.
