Do you want more space and order in your wardrobe? Read here how things that you have always thrown away can help you.
Does your closet not stay organized for long because you feel like you have too many things for too little space? Instead of sorting out two thirds or buying a larger closet, we'll show you ingenious tricks with which you can create more storage space and store your clothes and accessories in a more space-saving manner.
Step 1: Take inventory
Before we get to the simple but brilliant wardrobe hacks, here are three things you should definitely do if you want a permanently tidy closet:
1. Clear out and sift through
It's time-consuming and causes the bedroom to sink into chaos, but it's worth the effort.
2. Try on and sort out
Put on the clothes you haven't worn in a while and decide what can stay and what has to go. Yes, saying goodbye hurts. But anything that you haven't worn for more than a year will remain in your closet in the future.
3. Clear away systematically
It's best to first sort your clothes by type: jeans, T-shirts, blouses, sweaters, etc. and then by color. You can save space if you don't fold your jeans and trousers but instead hang them on trouser hangers.
Organizing your closet: hacks for more space
Our wardrobe hacks are not only super easy to implement and will help you gain more space in your wardrobe - they also cost (almost) nothing. For many of the hacks, you can use things you've always thrown away, like can tabs or egg cartons.
1. Save space with can tabs
Instead of just hanging your clothes hangers next to each other and wasting valuable space in your closet, you can use this trick to use the space more sensibly. To do this, remove the tabs from old cans and hang them on the clothes hanger. You can now hang another clothes hanger in the existing hole and work your way down.

Extra tip for even more storage space in the closet
Hanging options are all well and good, but you're missing shelves in your closet to neatly store T-shirts, sweaters, etc.? With a super practical product you can use your storage space much more effectively. With the ingenious telescopic shelves. You don't have to screw or drill for them because they are simply pulled out and clamped between the shelf walls.

2. Closet organizer made from boxes and boxes
Do you spend what feels like ages rummaging through your underwear drawer until you find the right pair of panties? Then this trick is perfect for you because it eliminates the underwear chaos.
To do this, first empty the drawer completely and take it out of the chest of drawers. Then cut up e.g. B. Shoe boxes so that individual compartments are created that fit into the drawer. Stick it to the bottom of the drawer with double-sided adhesive tape and the organizer for your underwear is ready! It's best to sort panties and bras by color and occasion - from sporty everyday underwear to sexy lingerie.

Is the shoebox solution not pretty enough for you? Then get practical laundry organizers. The different sized storage boxes provide space for neatly sorted socks, briefs and bras in the drawer.
>There are lots of organizing systems for drawers on Amazon, for example.*
Extra tip: Store other items of clothing in boxes too
Most closet clutter occurs when we rummage for clothes that are low in the pile. The stacking tactic is not only vulnerable, but also causes us to lose track of our things. It's better if you sort your clothes into small boxes by location. For example, you can simply pull the entire sweater box forward and pick out the right item.
3. String up scarves using clothespins
Are you also addicted to scarves? With this simple and super cheap hack you can outsource those space-consuming scarves. To do this you will need either clothespins or shower curtain rings. Line up the clothespins or shower curtain rings on a hanger (Clothes hangers are available here on Amazon*) and then hang up your textiles. Complete!

4. Hang summer tops to save space
Just like your outfit, you also need to make your wardrobe fall-ready. You can do this by outsourcing pure summer clothing, such as airy tops or thin summer dresses. You can use the same system as for the scarves, i.e. either clothespins or, as here, shower curtain rings.

5. Store shorts and shorts hanging
This trick can also be used to store short trousers or short skirts in a space-saving and clear manner in the wardrobe. To do this, simply hang the items of clothing on the side belt loops.

6. Store summer shoes in wine boxes
It's getting too cold for espadrilles, flip-flops etc.? Then, instead of being lined up in a shoe cupboard, you should store them in wine boxes to save space. You can get them at the beverage store. You can then put the boxes under the bed, for example, where they won't get in the way.

No storage space left for the boxes?
You can save even more space if you store your summer shoes such as sandals, flip-flops or sneakers in a shoe storage that you can simply hang on the inside of the closet door or on the inside of your bedroom door.

7. Jewelry board prevents chain chaos
All you need is an old picture frame, hammer and small nails. All you have to do for the jewelry board is remove the glass from the frame (very important!) and then “assemble” it again so that the back panel and frame are firmly connected. Now you have to hammer the small nails into the back wall (careful, not too hard). The jewelry holder is now ready!

Necklaces, bracelets, earrings - the jewelry stand is completely overcrowded and the accessories constantly get tangled up in each other. A homemade jewelry board creates order in chaos!

8. Store small jewelry in egg cartons
Don't feel like using a hammer and nails? Then you can easily build a practical jewelry organizer in two seconds. All you need is an egg carton pallet (available in the supermarket). You cut them to the size of your drawer and put them in there. Complete!
