Few actors have dominated the silver screen like Scarlett Johansson. Now the actress, who appears as “Black Widow” and in many other roles, has received a film award for her entire work. The Oscar-nominated Hollywood actress received the Academy's recognition for "Marriage Story" and "Jojo Rabbit" back in 2019. Since then, she has cemented herself as one of the most iconic women on screen. Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige has also announced that the star has signed on for a new film project.
Presentation of the “American Cinematheque Award” to Scarlett Johansson
Johansson, who recently made headlines for her legal battle with Disney over the release of her latest Marvel film, follows in the footsteps of Eddie Murphy, Ridley Scott and Julia Roberts. Additionally, the award recognizes “an exceptional artist in the entertainment industry who is fully dedicated to his work and committed to making a significant contribution to the art of film.” A charity organization is organizing the event dedicated to the public preservation of films. Among those who paid tribute to the actress was Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios. He praised her talent and vision while also speaking of her skills as a producer and actress. He said: “Scarlett Johansson has given her talent and power to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for over a decade. I am very grateful that she decided to play a key role for so many years.”
Feige also mentioned the actress' involvement in an upcoming "top secret Marvel Studios project." However, this apparently has nothing to do with her character “Black Widow”, who died in “Avengers: Endgame”. Scarlett Johansson accepted the honor and said: "It's important in general to know your own worth and stand up for yourself." Other speakers at the event included fellow Marvel stars Jon Favreau, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans. Actress from the film “Jojo Rabbit” Thomasin McKenzie and Jamie Lee Curtis from last Halloween were also in attendance. The pretty actress wore a stylish white suit with an open back, on which herbeautiful tattoo to seewar.
