Three years later, she was also diagnosed with kidney failure and colon cancer. But then Erwin gave her one of his own kidneys and in April 2017, Tina received a successful transplant. There's always another test, another doctor's appointment or biopsy to get through. “We’re both even closer to being here than we ever imagined, and that’s a reason to celebrate.”

The former pop diva recently announced that she is done touring. Tina Turner added: "I got on that plane, took a deep breath and said: It's over."
