The use of Styrofoam balls to make various decorations is actually nothing new at Christmas time. Decoupage with summer motifs
If you don't have any drawing talent, you can do it wonderfullyUse napkin techniqueto create a variety of objects with beautiful motifs. You probably know it from candles and boxes, for example, but the technique also works very well on Styrofoam. Is it your first time? This is how it all works:
You need:
- Mod Podge or any other napkin glue; it should become transparent as it dries
- Napkins with any summer motifs
- Brush, scissors
- Toilet paper roll for a stand for drying
How to make the colorful balls with Styrofoam balls:
- Cut rings off the toilet roll so that you can put the balls on them to dry later.
- Remove the layer with the motifs from the rest of the napkin.
- Cut the motif layer into smaller pieces. This way you can fix them better without the paper creasing. If you use the entire layer of the Styrofoam ball, it will be difficult, if not impossible, to get the motifs flat and smooth.
- Place a piece of napkin anywhere on the ball.
- Dip the brush into the glue and brush it over the paper.
- Place the next piece on top of the ball so that it slightly overlaps the previous one.
- Apply glue again to the new piece of paper.
- Repeat the steps until the ball is covered.
- Place them in the prepared stand to dry. You could also use skewers for this if you don't mind the holes.
- Distribute the finished balls in a beautiful decorative bowl.
