Daffodils or other spring flowers in a glass

You can conjure up a beautiful spring decoration using just 3 materials. You don't even need potting soil, but you should make the whole thing with fresh moss.

  • large decorative glass
  • Moos
  • Group of bulbous flowers in pots (e.g. daffodils, hyacinths, tulips)

Remove the onions from the pot without separating them. Place the whole thing in the glass and fill in the free areas with the moss. Water the arrangement sparingly to avoid waterlogging as there is no drainage. The best way to do this is to simply spray the moss.

You can also implement this idea in another container. Depending on the size or free space that is created, in some cases it is worthwhile to use potting soil (better still with a drainage layer) and real moss just to cover it, otherwise far too large quantities would be required.

The whole thing would also look very effective on bark. You can do this afterwardson a flat decorative bowldisplay it or just place it on the table.

Simple spring wreath made from natural materials

We go one step further because you only need two materials for this wreath and both are natural:

  • Wreath blank made from grape vines
  • Moos

Using hot glue, simply glue tufts of moss directly onto the wreath. You decide how much you cover the blank. The spring wreath looks particularly effective if you use the material more sparingly so that the vines remain visible on both sides.

There are also great wire baskets with modern shapes that you can use as an alternative to the classic wreath. The principle is the same as with the decoration in the glass: the flowers go into the basket, which is then filled with fresh moss around it. Depending on the volume of the basket, you also choose the flowers. Is it quite small?Snowdrops, for example, are well suited. Tulip, daffodil and hyacinth bulbs may need a little more space.
