DIY wine rack for hobby builders with instructions

As you may have already noticed, there are now a lot of projects that use wooden pallets. If you also like furniture made from pallets, you can try this shelf. So if you have a free afternoon, get your tools ready and start with this interesting DIY wine rack project.

In principle, the process for building this shelf is not that difficult. Start by cutting the pallet into two pieces at the center of the side slot on both sides. You only need half a pallet for a shelf, depending on how big you want it to be. But while you're at it, you can also make a second piece out of the other half and then, for example, give it away.

Cut the pallet in half

Next, remove the two top boards from the center that lie across to make the optional glass holder at the bottom. Each board offers enough space to hang up to eight glasses. All you need to do is measure the distance and mark the locations for the holes to hang the glasses.

You will also need to add a false base to the pallet to separate the wine bottles from the glasses.

This DIY wine rack really is so easy to make. The only difficulty might be finding someone to operate the saw. So if you don't have any experience, be on the safe side and ask someone who does.

If the wooden pallet you used is not in such good condition, you can also finish by painting or spraying the finished piece of furniture in any color.

Attach to the wall

If you're a wine lover, you probably areenough bottleshave to fill the shelf. This small and simple project is fun and can be done by anyone with just a few tools. And the result just looks great, don't you think? If you have a bar in your house, the DIY will fit in there perfectly. But it will also be a useful eye-catcher outside on the terrace and next to the grill, which your guests will also be happy about.
