Make a Raffaello house as a Christmas gift

You can create a magical fairytale house from a simple Raffaello box with just a few materials! Cardboard, wrapping paper, trimmings and decorations of your choice - that's all you need to make this pretty Christmas gift.

Materials required:

  • Standard box of 15 Raffaello chocolates
  • Cardboard
  • Scraps of wallpaper, crepe paper or other decorative paper
  • Trimmings in red and silver
  • Glue gun
  • Pencil and ruler
  • Decorative items of your choice to decorate the house - pearl necklaces, crepe flowers, bows, berries, cones, mini baubles, etc.

Step 1:Open and empty the chocolate box. Fold the two narrow sides inwards and glue them to the box.
Step 2:Cut two rectangles from cardboard 8 cm high and 11.5 cm wide. Cover the triangles with decorative paper.

Step 3:Glue the triangles to the two large sides of the lid.
Step 4:Cut off the excess from the chocolate box. Using hot glue, stick the trimmings along the edges so that the unclean interfaces are no longer visible.

Step 5:Now you need to make the roof. It consists of 2 parts. The size of the individual parts is 12.5 cm x 15 cm. Cut a 25 x 30 cm rectangle out of cardboard and cover it with decorative paper. Then fold the rectangle in the middle.

Step 6:Also decorate the edges of the roof with the trimmings. Make another door and two windows on either side of the house. You can also hang a decorative bell.

Step 7:Only stick the roof on one side. The other side should open.

Step 8:Now you can let your imagination run wild and decorate the roof according to your own wishes. For example, you can first glue all the small decorations onto a cardboard circle and then attach it to the roof.

It is best to place floral compositions on one side of the house only. Asymmetrical looks better. But be careful. Choose lighter decorations and don't overdo it. Otherwise the house could tip over. Distribute the decorations evenly on the cardboard circle and attach it closer to the fold of the roof. You can also add pine or spruce branches to add some contrast.

Step 9:Put the candy back in the box or put a small gift inside. Because without the interior filling the house is unstable.

Add a few gold accents

To decorate the Raffaello box, you can not only use red and white decorations, but also add gold and green tones as accents. A variety of rhinestones and glitter can make the house even more attractive and festive.
