Make a pretty garland yourself as a table decoration

A pretty table decoration doesn't necessarily have to consist of real flowers or plants. This is especially advantageous when it is winter. Finding pretty artificial flowers can sometimes be difficult. That's why all you need for the table decoration garland we're going to show you today is artificial green leaves of your choice. You can, for example, imitate ivy or ferns. If you would rather have an eye-catching table centerpiece full of glitter and add artificial snow (if you are making it in or for the winter), you can find something suitable for that and add it too. That's exactly the great thing about DIY projects. Feel free to customize everything according to your taste and add or leave out whatever you want.

As I said, it is also enough if you choose green leaves. You can add a pretty shimmer yourself instead of buying them ready-made. All you need is a spray in a metallic color of your choice. For this example, the fern leaves were sprayed with a bronze color. These were added to add a pretty, delicate and shimmery accent without making the whole thing look over the top. There are also a few table candles and silver onesCandlestick in the shape ofballs. However, you can also choose a different style depending on what you like and what you have available. The result is perfect for a winter wedding or a cozy dinner party because it creates a cozy and warm atmosphere.

A garland as a table decoration in autumn and winter

As you will notice, artificial flowers and plants are not necessarily meant to look tacky. So if you are worried about how your guests will receive this garland as a table decoration, then you don't have to. It's classic and easy to make and cheap. If you're feeling bolder, you can even add a few neon, glitter or leopard print flowers. That adds a little more pizzazz.

Additionally, it seems that metallic greenery is the future of decorations as they are becoming more and more common. If you are a fan of DIY projects, you have probably already noticed this or will notice it.

What materials do you need for this?

  • Use artificial greenery (ivy in this example) to give your craft project a winter-appropriate style. But there are also garlands that contain lavender or grape leaves, as well as Christmas garlands that are also suitable. The trick here is to find something that is as simply designed as possible and yet is well filled and looks complete. Longer garlands can be cut into pieces and used for multiple tables.
  • Additional artificial leaves that you can dye (fern in this example).
  • Blumendraht
  • a pair of scissors
  • Candles (in this example, table candles)
  • Candle holders (in this example silver balls)
  • a pretty ribbon if you want to decorate the place settings with the remaining leaves.

You can see the instructions above in the form of pictures. Have fun imitating!
