For the wings:

Blumendraht

120 denier tights, orange

For the costume:

Plastic garment bag or a transparent plastic tablecloth

LED fairy lights, monochrome, with batteries

Mod Podge

Glue for plastic or hot glue

Paper tape

Glitter

For the headdress:

6 pieces of chennille wire, black

Headband, black

Needle and sewing thread, white

Directions:

1. First glue the ends of the tablecloth together. Leave an opening at one end. If you have a clear zippered garment bag, you can skip this first step.

2. Then put the fairy lights in the garment bag.

3. Meanwhile, bend the florist's wire into the shape of a wing and put the tights on top. Wrap the end of the tights in the middle and glue them together. Sew on two pieces of elastic band of equal length. They serve as an attachment over the shoulder.

4. Loosely sew the bag with the fairy lights onto the wings.

5. Cover the wing ends with paper tape. Then apply Mod Podge to the tape with a brush.

6. Sprinkle glitter onto the tape and let it dry.

7. For the headdress, shape the six pipe cleaners into antennas and glue them onto the headband.

Illuminated tutu skirt

Whether a ballerina, a fairy or a sorceress: the tutu skirt is aan inseparable part of the carnival costumebecome. We have already shown you how you can make the bottom part without sewing. Now we will tell you how to light up a tutu skirt. So the little princess's clothes sparkle even in the evening.

Materials required:

15-20 cm wide tulle rolls in the following colors:

1/2 Roll Tulle, lilac

1/2 roll of tulle, pink or hot pink

1 roll of tulle, white

1 elastic sequin border, 30 mm wide, white

Textile adhesives

LED fairy lights with batteries

Jacket knitting needle

Safety pin

Elastic bands in pink and dark blue

Needle and white sewing thread

Directions:

1. First cut the elastic sequin border. It should be a little shorter than the child's waist. Fasten the two ends of the sequin border together with a safety pin.

2. Then use the jacket knitting needle to make holes along the sequin border.

3. Cut the pink, purple and white tulle rolls into strips. The length of the stripes determines the skirt length.

4. Fold a purple strip of tulle in half and place it under the sequin border to create a loop. Pull the loop through a hole in the border with the jacket knitting needle. Pull the long ends of the strip through the loop.

5. Knot purple and pink tulle strips alternately in this way until the tulle skirt is finished.

6. Make small holes in the tulle strips. Pull the lamps of the fairy lights through the holes and fix them with glue. Loosely sew the batteries onto the inside of the sequin border.

7. Add another layer of white tulle strips over the purple and pink tulle strips.

Unicorn headdress

Sometimes the LED accessories make the entire costume so attractive. The next craft project is all about the headdress. We'll show you a DIY idea for a unicorn headdress that goes perfectly with the illuminated tutu skirt. If you have leftover tulle, you can use it for the next project.

Materials required:

Glittering motif paper

Directions:

1. First cut a square out of the transparent motif paper and make a paper cone. Place the light stick or string of lights in the paper cone.

3. Cut out two details for the ears from the glittering motif paper and fold them.

4. Cut out the inside of the ears from the pink motif paper.

5. Glue the ears and horn onto the headband.

6. Decorate as desired with fabric flowers, tulle strips and other decorative ribbons.

Magic wand

Materials required:

glittering motif paper

Motivpapier in Pink

Purple and pink ruffle ribbons

LED balloon light

Wooden shish kebab skewer

Foam board 2 cm thick

Aluminum foil

adhesive

Directions:

1. First cut out three stars of the same size from the glittering motif paper and the foam board.

2. Cut out two smaller stars from the pink motif paper.

3. Pierce a hole in the middle of all the stars with the kebab skewer. Additionally cut a square out of the foam star. This is where you will later hide the balloon light battery.

4. Now carefully pull the LED balloon light through the hole and hide the balloon light battery in the foam star.

5. Glue all the stars together as shown above.

6. Hold the sharp side of the scissors against the mat side of the curling tape and pull the scissors through with pressure. Then the decorative ribbon will curl.

7. Wrap the skewer with the aluminum foil. Attach the finished star to one end. Decorate with the curling ribbons.

LED carnival costumes for women - A beautiful angel with a special charisma

This is how the outfit is put together:

2. Then attach the fairy lights. Drape the white tulle fabric over it and sew or glue it to the skirt at the waist.

3. Decorate the top as desired.

4. Attach a loop at the top of the back of the skirt.

5. Decorate the waist with the golden decorative ribbon.

Make an LED crown with real or fabric flowers

No fairy outfit is complete without a flower crown. For the next project you will need the following materials: LED balloon lights, floral wire, a headband, glue, large real or fabric flowers. This is how the flower crown is made: First insert the individual balloon lights into the flowers. Then use the floral wire to make a futuristic crown. Glue the construction onto the headband and decorate with the flowers. Complete!

Make illuminated elf or fairy wings

Every little fairy needs a pair of wings. You can make the wings out of organza fabric, floral wire and pink satin ribbon and then decorate them with a string of LED lights.

You can make a creative carnival costume out of a straw hat, aluminum foil, a glass ball and LED fairy lights. Simply wrap the hat with the aluminum foil and cut out three or four circular openings.
