Yes, we know that kiwis and a few pretzel sticks also found their way onto this plate, but nonetheless, the vegetable variants are to love and, above all, not difficult to imitate. And the pretzel stick spider webs and kiwis are a great filling material with decorative properties for the vegetable plate.

  • The peppers are beheaded and deseeded whole.Carve Jack O'Lanternsor ghost faces on a page. Put the lid back on after arranging the peppers on the plate.
  • Cut smaller circles out of cucumber slices. You can create the teeth from pointed details such as sunflower seeds or almond slivers, which you simply insert into the cut-out circle. You can easily get ready-made eyes with sugar eyes. But you can also make your own using melted chocolate.
  • Carrot slices quickly turn into tiny pumpkins. Here you cut out small triangles on the edge to create the pumpkin stem. Moisten sugar eyes on the back and stick them onto the carrot.
  • For the spider webs, melt white chocolate. Place pretzel sticks together in a star shape on baking paper. You can then spread the chocolate with the help of a spoon. Start in the center with a more generous dollop to secure the pretzel stick ends together. Put sugar eyes on top too. Then create the “threads”. Allow the chocolate to harden before arranging the spider webs on the Halloween vegetable platter.
  • You can also make the brains, which are supposed to represent the kiwis, from half tomatoes. Create the wavy lines with white, melted chocolate. Also add eyes if desired.

Above you have already seen one way to design peppers for the vegetable platter for Halloween. But the following are also worth considering.

  • Stuffed peppers with salad and other snacks

It's best to use orange peppers if you can find them. Cut off the top and remove the seeds. Carve a face into the side. Fill the peppers with any vegetables or other snacks such as mini mozzarella or crackers. Dips are also suitable as filling material, but they should be very thick so as not to run out of the openings. You can place olives directly in front of the “pumpkin’s” eyes.

  • Peppers instead of cups

If you want to serve sticks on your platter, the arrangement will definitely look better if you offer them in pods. For this you need block peppers that have a straight bottom and can therefore stand upright. Cut off the lids and carve them to suit the feast. Then put celery, broccoli, carrot sticks and the like. You can also reserve a pod for any dip.

  • Whole pods with eyes

Have you already spent a lot of time with all the other vegetables and need to think of something quicker for the peppers? Then just serve it as is. The advantage of the snack peppers used is that the seeds are located high up at the base of the stalk. Therefore you canUse as finger food, hold by the stem and then enjoy comfortably from the tip to the seeds. So that the pods don't look so boring on the plate, you can add a few eyes - more or less for a monster look.

How to arrange the vegetable platter:

  • First, place the bowl with the dip on the desired spot. You can now use this as a guide for the rest of your body.
  • Two celery stalks are the shoulders and collarbones, respectively.
  • For the spine, use a row of cucumber slices that overlap each other.
  • Create the rib cage using pepper sticks. Look at how the length of the vegetables was used to mimic the arch of the ribs.
  • Now make arms and hands out of carrots and broccoli and then the basin out of mushrooms.
  • Celery, tomatoes and peppers then form the legs.
  • Finally, finish the skull. Tuck lettuce leaves into the dip as hair and use olive slices as eyes.

Celery sticks are a wonderful finger food that is usually served with a vegetable dip. You can also fill the dip directly into the bar itself. Then you don't have to stay near the buffet the whole time to dip. After you have arranged the sticks on the plate, you can add one or two artificial spiders to make the whole thing a little more spooky.

A dip can be served in a pumpkin in an original way, hidden and covered with a lid. When choosing, you should just make sure that the container you choose for the dip ultimately fits into the hollowed out pumpkin - not only in terms of diameter, but also in terms of height. You can use the cut top of the pumpkin to cover it later so that the vegetable dip does not dry out.
