A few beautiful tulips in different colors in combination with a few branches of willow kitten will immediately provide more spring mood on the veranda.
DIY carrot spring wreath from tulips for the front door
Wreaths are a classic decoration for the house entrance. This original carrot turkey, for example, ensures a good mood and is also great for Easter. A cute snack to welcome the Easter bunny. And the best thing is that the wreath is finished in less than 1 hour! Here are the necessary materials:
- Mastermind
- Hot glue gun with adhesive sticks
- Artificial tulips in orange
- More art flowers in orange
- Artificial green
- Blumendraht
- Stir bar for colors (or suitable wooden strip)
- Ribbon
Before you start tinkering with the wreath, you should determine how big the finished project should be and get enough tulip bundle to create the carrot shape. 7 bundles were used for the wreath in the example.
Then place three tulip bundles in a triangular shape, with the stems showing them away. Use floral wire to tie all three bundles together.
Place the bundle on the flat side of a stirring rod and attach it to the hot glue. Make sure you attach it to the lower half of the wooden staff, as you will always add more bundle and green stuff. Go away with the wiring and gluing of the bundle until you are satisfied with the shape of the carrot.
In order to make the wreath more interesting and to hide gaps in the tulip bundles, add additional art flowers. With wire pliers, cut out individual flowers so that each flower has an approx. 10 cm long stem. Then use flower wire or hot glue again to attach the additional flowers to the main part of your DIY carrot wreath.
When the lower part of the carrot is finished, it is time to add the carrot green. To do this, use artificial green of your choice and make it a big bundle. Then put the stem ends of the bundle into the tulip arrangement and attach it to the stir bar with floral wire or hot glue.
To finish the door decoration, make a hanger made of floral wire. Wrap the wire several times around the stirring rod and then form a stable loop with which you can hang the wreath on a hook. For the last finishing touches, make a loop made of decorative tape and decorate the wreath.
More ideas for the door decoration outside
Spring is the season in which downpours are a common event. And what is more suitable for the spring decoration than an umbrella? You can hang up an umbrella full of flowers both and arrange at the house entrance in the umbrella stand.
To attach the flowers to the umbrella, you can either use styrofoam or plug -in foam. However, we advise you against the use of real flowers, as they can only be durable for a short time and have to be replaced every few days.
Artificial flowers, on the other hand, are ideal for decorating the outdoor area. They are also cheap and can be used easily in the following years. For example, you can make a door wreath from this. Or you can fill different vessels such as vases, lanterns, buckets and wooden boxes. Just let your creativity run free!

Spring decorations for garden and balcony
Our last few ideas are great for decorating the garden and balcony. In the first, some glasses are transformed into vases and hung on the clothesline. To do this, the hangers for each glass can be made from wire and hanging directly on the leash. The laundry clams have a rather decorative function on this decorative idea, since they alone cannot withstand the glasses with water. However, they also serve to keep the individual glasses in the square so that they do not slip.
Crafts colorful flower pots for outside of old cans
In spring it can be colorful and so this idea is for the decoration outdoors. It is also perfect for all upcycling fans, because you turn old doses into colorful pots. These are the materials required for this project:
- Empty tin cans in any sizes
- Napkins with colorful patterns
- Roll cutter (scissors also works) and mat
- Serviettenkleber, z. B. Mod Podge
- Foam brush
- White spray paint
- Clear lacquer spray

Before sticking the tin cans with the napkins, paint them white with the spray color. The paper napkins are very thin and the planters will look better with a white background.
Next, to cut each napkin to the size of the can to be glued. For larger doses, you may need to use more than a serivette. Then remove the top location of the tailored napkin.
Now cover the entire can with the decoupage glue. Carefully put the paper napkind on the can and press it with the foam brush. Wrap the napkin around the can until it is completely covered.
As soon as the glue has dried, paint the decorated sheet metal boxes with at least 2 layers of acrylic paint. This protects the planters for the outdoor area from weather influences.
To plant the tin cans, first drill holes in the bottom of the cans for drainage. Then put a layer of stones on the floor, fill the can with potting soil and insert the plants.
