With hanging flower vases you can effectively display a few beautiful cut flowers on the window. To do this you will need some clear glass bottles without caps, some wire and two hooks. Make your own spring decorations for windows
Do you like it colorful in spring? This colorful decoration idea will brighten up any plain window and instantly lift the mood in the interior.First you make a mobile, which serves as a translucent curtain in front of the window. Below you will find simple instructions on how you can make this beautiful spring decoration on the window yourself.

These materials are necessary for the colorful spring mobile:
- Yarn in white, blue and yellow
- Decorative ribbon
- Felt balls
- Decorative thread or fishing line
- Nadel
- Tension rod that fits the window
The first thing you need to decide is how many felt ball chains are needed for the width of your window. Allow a distance of approximately 20 cm between the chains if you want to make a mobile similar to the one in the example. Then measure the height of the window and cut enough decorative threads.
Tie a knot or two on one end of the string and thread the other end through the needle. Then thread the felt balls onto the string, leaving a few centimeters between balls (you can also do this after hanging). Tie a loop at the other end of the cord and push the tension rod through. Repeat with the rest of the felt ball chains.
Adjust the tension rod and insert it into the window. Spread the chains across the width of the window. Now push the balls to the desired position (if not already done). For the hanging strands, first cut three pieces of yarn twice as long as the window. Fold them in half and tie them to the tension rod as shown in the picture above. Make spring window decorations for the inside of the window frame
If you want to decorate the windows, you should first consider whether the decoration should only be visible from the inside or from the outside. A flower garland is incredibly easy to make and will fill your home with spring vibes. All you need is:
- Artificial flowers with stems
- Hot glue gun

The procedure is very simple. You hot glue the stems together, trying to leave approximately equal space between each flower. Use some of the leaves to cover up any unsightly spots. But don't worry, no one will notice once the garland is hanging. To hang, tape a few hooks around the window and hang your flower garland from them.
Make simple suncatchers as spring window decorations
Now we'll show you how you can make beautiful sun catchers yourself from small embroidery frames and washi tape. The sun catcher (or also known as a suncatcher) is a type of window picture that lets colorful light through when the sun is shining. This creates beautiful plays of light on the window. First, cut out a circle of baking paper that is about 2-3 cm larger in diameter than that of your embroidery hoop. Then cover the entire baking paper circle with washi tape, creating any pattern you like.
Separate the two rings of the embroidery hoop from each other. Place the decorated baking paper on the inner ring so that the motif is in the middle. Then place the outer ring on top and slowly press it down. Turn the screws to close the frame. Then turn the embroidery hoop over and cut off the excess paper around the embroidery hoop with scissors.
