Christmas is about giving presents. Children impatiently await the surprises under the Christmas tree and to keep their curiosity in check, the Advent calendar seems to be a great solution. Of course, all children know what is hidden behind the windows of the ready-made Advent calendars from the supermarket - chocolate pralines. Therefore they are totally uninteresting. If there is no surprise, every gift is considered boring, even by adults. Design an Advent calendar in a different way and bring joy to your loved ones, whether big or small.
Do you already have an idea in mind that caught your eye? If not, then we have three great andcreative craftssummarized, which can be quickly implemented without any effort. The general rule for everyone is that paper bags made of brown paper are needed. They are available in every supermarket and are considered nature-friendly because they are made from recycled paper, kraft paper. You need 25 of these. You should also have selected and prepared 25 small gifts.
If you have oneMake an Advent calendar for your childSweets, such as candies, lollipops, candy canes and other small items are particularly suitable for small gifts. For Advent Sundays, prepare something larger, for example a toy or dress. For adults the choice is a little more difficult. A funny touch is always welcome, as well as vouchers that are yours, such as a movie night and dinner that you buy for the other person.
Pack all surprises and small gifts nicely and label each package with the numbers from 1 to 25. You can use self-adhesive labels or you can print them out yourself and attach them to the package in an original way. The easiest way, but not very imaginative, is to take a pen and write the corresponding number on it.
When all the packages are ready - full and numbered, it comes down to the creative, unique designto. Our first suggestion goes a little further into eco-friendly decoration. For this you need a driftwood branch or to make it really Christmassy, get one made from a real Christmas tree. Use decorative ribbons and strings to hang all the packages one after the other in order. Use different ribbons to create a lush Advent calendar.
Another particularly original idea would be to quickly transform the old wooden ladder into a great Christmas decoration. You are welcome to sand the wood so that it appears even older and more used. Namely, this natural, grayed surface of the untreated wood ensures the desired vintage flair, which is very current at the moment.
Take the packages and use a punch to make a hole in each package. The hole should be large enough for you to pull the cords or ribbons through. Attach all the packages to the steps of the ladder. You can start hanging the packages from above or, conversely, from below. If you wish, you can expand the Christmas decorations and add a few more decorative elements.
When you receive a gift, the most exciting thing is when it is beautifully packaged and especially when it is in a gift box. Then curiosity and impatience increase enormously. For our next idea, instead of bags made of brown paper, we need small boxes made of the same material. These look really cute when there are so many of them. You will need 25 of these as before.
In addition to the small gift boxes made of brown paper, get just as many Christmas trees for model building. 25 labels for each day are also required. You can design and print these yourself, or you can find them at a craft store. Then you need an adhesive – hot glue or wood glue also works.
Cut out all the labels and attach one Christmas tree to each. Be careful not to let excess glue fall onto the treetop and damage it. To make the tag look pretty like a flag, wrap it around the handle of a pen before attaching it to the tree. Place one of the small Christmas trees on the lid of each gift box and secure it firmly with the glue.
You can now fill up the finished gift boxes with a Christmas theme. Please note that only small items fit in them. If you want to give something larger but there is no space for it in the small box, you can simply put a note in it. You should only write on it what you are giving to your loved one.
Brown paper looks undeniably plain and simple. For this reason, it is increasingly used for plain packaging. Accents that are incorporated into it are therefore more effective. Tie with red and white string, add pine branches and red Christmas balls to add more whimsy.
