Christmas is getting closer and closer and you are already looking for original gifts for your loved ones. The lovingly selected gifts need pretty packaging that you can also make yourself. We'll show you six ways to wrap your Christmas presents beautifully and make the present something very special.

Wrap Christmas presents beautifully – idea with a homemade bow

There are many different ways to spruce up a gift box for Christmas or any other occasion. A beautiful bow, for example, can turn simple, plain wrapping paper into a real eye-catcher.

For our first craft project you will need the following materials:

Tissue paper (various colors)
Wrapping paper
Scissors
Tacker
tape

Directions:

Wrap your gift with pretty wrapping paper as shown in the picture.

Take a few sheets of tissue paper and cut a rectangle out of them. Fold it into a harmonica and staple it in the middle. Cut the corners diagonally. Separate the individual sheets of paper from each other. Finally, glue the finished bow onto the gift.

Make a Christmas tree out of drinking straws

A small Christmas tree made of colored straws gives winter gift packaging an individual touch and is the perfect Christmas decoration that can be made in no time.

Materials required:

Wrapping paper
Hot glue gun
tape
Pearls
Yarn
Scissors
colorful drinking straws
Lineal
Pencil

Wrap the gift with beautiful wrapping paper with Christmas patterns. Use the pencil to draw a Christmas tree consisting of a triangle and a small rectangle. Now shorten the straws to the appropriate length so that each additional straw should be shorter.

Glue the drinking straws to the wrapping paper and decorate the Christmas tree as you wish. We used wool yarn, stars and white pompom for the lace.

Simple and quick DIY ideas

If you don't have time for elaborate gift wrapping but still want to add a personal touch to the gift, our next suggestion might be for you. The packaging is suitable for light items with a regular shape. In our example, a rectangular pillow is packaged to suit the occasion.

Materials required:

Wrapping paper
Scissors
Pencil
Nadel
thread
Lineal

Place the gift on the wrapping paper and draw a rectangle on it. Then cut it out in duplicate. Place the two sheets on top of each other, left sides together, and sew both sides together. Insert the gift and sew up the open sides. Finally, cut out the protruding edges of the paper nearby.

Make gift packaging festive with Santa Claus

Wrapping Christmas presents beautifully is very important, especially for adolescents. Delight the little recipients with packaging that looks just like Santa Claus' costume. This packaging idea is easy to execute and very pretty.

Materials required:

red wrapping paper
black construction paper
golden craft paper
Scissors
Lineal
Pencil
Hot glue gun
tape

First, wrap the gift with red wrapping paper. Cut a wide, long strip out of the black construction paper and stick it onto the package. Draw a square on the gold construction paper and another smaller square inside. Starting from the middle, cut out the square as shown and glue it to the center of the black strip.

Wrap Christmas presents beautifully with a Christmas tree garland

If you are looking for creative and colorful ideas for wrapping Christmas presents, you can decorate your lovingly chosen gift with such a nice Christmas tree garland in just a few simple steps.

Materials required:

Wrapping paper
Felt (various colors)
colorful corrugated cardboard
Gift ribbon
Scissors

Wrap the gift as usual with craft paper. Draw a Christmas tree on the felt and cut it out. Use it as a template and cut out two more Christmas trees from corrugated cardboard. Take the cutter knife and make two slits on the side of each Christmas tree through which the gift ribbon fits. Thread the ribbon through the Christmas trees as shown in the picture and glue the ends of the ribbon to the back of the packaging.

Make a gift bag

A colorful gift bag is another last-minute idea for homemade packaging for Christmas that is very easy to make and uses just a few materials. It is best to match the colors of the wrapping paper and the bow.

Materials required:

Wrapping paper
tape
punch
Scissors
Gift ribbon

Place the construction paper in front of you and fold the right and left sides inwards so that they overlap slightly. Secure with a strip of tape. Then reach into the opening at the bottom and unfold it. Trace the folds of paper on the right and left with your fingers. Next, fold the bottom half of the bottom up and the top half down. Tape the base in the middle with a strip of tape. Punch two holes in the top of the bag. Put your gift inside, thread a piece of ribbon and tie it into a nice bow.
