Parquet is one of the most popular floor coverings. It radiates warmth and is elegant at the same time, making it perfect for any interior style. There are different types of parquet laying that you can choose from and which determine the parquet pattern. One of the classics is herringbone parquet. This pattern is also often used for modern interiors in a minimalist style, where it stands out well due to the white walls. And the parquet floor also has a particularly interesting look when combined with surfaces with a concrete look. This is also the case in this apartment from Dori Interieur Design, which we would like to introduce to you today and in which the parquet in a herringbone pattern adorns most of the floors.
The parquet in a herringbone pattern is made with manymodern elementscombined. This doesn't just include the contemporary furniture in the living room such as the white metal coffee table and the green sofa. The minimalist kitchen also complements the floor beautifully. While the white furniture provides an interesting contrast, the wall paneling along the entire wall opposite the seating area serves as a harmonious extension. Concrete should also be mentioned as a contrasting element. This not only adorns some of the pillars, but also some of the floors. This divides the open living space into areas such as the hallway and the work area. The kitchen is a multifunctional piece of furniture. In the living area, this transforms into a practical wall unit in the form of a sideboard.
As you can see, it's not just the parquet flooring that's a real eye-catcher. The work area is elevated and is reached by steps, which, like the ceiling, are equipped with attractive, indirect lighting. In this area, the concrete floor is also combined with some tiles to create an interesting structure. Wood also serves as flooring in the bedroom and gives the modern room a cozy atmosphere.
