The elf flower (Epimedium) is a robust, hardy perennial that is characterized by its lightness and grace. There are different types that bloom white, yellow, red or pink between April and May.
The elf flower “Elf Queen” (Epimedium grandiflorum) is a pretty partial shade plant with delicate, creamy white flowers.
The fairy flower “Sulphureium” (Epimedium versicolor) is highly prized for its attractive, wintergreen leaves. The sulfur yellow individual flowers on loose panicles appear from April to May.
