Step 1. Identify and remove miserliness
First, the shoots (shoots in the leaf axils that do not produce flowers or bear fruit) are removed. It's best to check the plants regularly and simply cut off any shoots. You should be sure that these are really miserly instincts. Because all too often flowers and then fruits grow right next to them. Only side shoots may be removed. Especially with young plants, it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between the side shoots and the main shoots. It's best to check again and again, because the parts of the plant that are cut off will not grow back.
