It has been scientifically proven that green plants can significantly improve the indoor climate. They are an inseparable part of the interior design of our homes. What is optimal houseplant care? Their prosperity depends primarily on the light. The Barcelona design studio Goula/Figuera recently presented its project “Viride” – Latin for “green”. It combines optimal plant management and design in one. The result is a flower pot collection that takes care of the plant in the best possible way and showcases it attractively.
The products from the “Viride” collection fulfill three tasks at the same time: They function as a kind of aesthetic plant container, provide the plants with enough light and at the same time serve as decorative lights. The flower potscome in three sizes to suit different types of plants.
The flat flower pot guarantees optimal houseplant care for species that need more moisture and light. It rotates very slowly around its central axis so that all leaves are illuminated evenly, thus simulating the natural course of the sun. In addition, sufficient moisture is provided in the form of steam. When the plant gets enough, the system automatically turns off.
The other flower pot is ideal for hanging plants. The hanging leaves are optimally illuminated with three lights on three levels: from above, in the middle and from below. The LED lamps used are large and emit a lot of light. A “Viride” flower pot also works excellently as an unusual table lamp.
Another container is designed only for rootless plants, the so-called air plants, and looks more like a decorative stand made of black steel. It can be placed freely in any room and puts the plant at eye level. This will present the plant even more attractively and will definitely arouse great admiration.
The interactive flower pots from the “Viride” collection are particularly suitable for plants that require little substrate and for those that grow slowly or do not grow very large.
