Cleverly combine wood for terraces and modern interiors

Wood is a popular material for patiosand interior design, but not necessarily modern. In combination with a rougher feel, a new appearance is created and the traditional material is given new meaning. Concrete, metal and wood harmonize in the modern penthouse in Tel Aviv, Israel.

A penthouse in Tel Aviv was built in 2015 byToledano + Architectsreconstructed and modernly redesigned. The living ambience changes from minimalist to cozy and the individual touch is not missed. Playful accents harmonize with the straight-line design to create an atmosphere with a playful character and is because of theKinderunderstandable in the household.

Wood, concrete and black-colored metal are expressed as design elements. The concrete-look ceiling and floor appear as rough structural elements that contribute to the visual posture and stability. Metal structures add a playful touch and the wood softens the atmosphere, making it homely and lively.

Wood is used inside and outside at the same time. Entire unit, modern wooden kitchen, stretches along the apartment. Discreet wooden panels can be moved and serve as room dividers on the lower floor of the penthouse. Upstairs, in the children's room, an entire wooden children's kingdom is integrated inside.
