This stylishly designed apartment belongs to a young woman and is located in a Moscow suburb. The task of the designers and interior architects at Geometrium was to create a modern and...functional home furnishingsto create without any frills that women generally like. The room design andFurnishings in natural toneswere perfectly adapted to the owner's lifestyle.
Furnishings in natural tones in the living room
Interior designers have tried the use of dark elements in theInterior designto avoid and allow natural daylight to flow into the living spaces. The small apartment consists of two rooms - a kitchen with a dining area and a living room where people also sleep.
The living room/bedroom is a social area where you can chat with friends or just watch TV. It was also important to create enough space to do yoga. For this reason the bed was replaced with a sofa bed.
Of course, since the owner is a woman, it was also necessary to create a large amount of storage space for clothes and accessories, so the living room has access to the dressing room. The door was cleverly hidden under a few wall panels in the same wood tone.
Cozy furnishings in natural tones
The wall opposite the sofa provides the necessary storage space and makes the room appear minimalist. Anything extra can be hidden behind the cupboard doors.
There are two mirror doors that also fulfill important functions: they make the room appear larger, provide more light and are necessary for daily activities. The mirror next to the sliding door helps when doing yoga, the second mirror - for putting on make-up in daylight.
Design of the hallway
The door to the bathroom was visually hidden to create the effect of a homogeneous white wall.
Living area and kitchen
In the hallway there is a wardrobe with sliding doors, one of which is mirrored. This is not at all a coincidence, because the mirror in exactly this place makes the room appear larger and reflects the light that flows from the balcony into the apartment.
A kitchen island separates the kitchen from the living area and is planned so that guests sitting on the sofa can also be entertained while cooking. The kitchen is small but functional and has all the important appliances you need for cooking.
A central decorative element on the wall behind the kitchen island is a world map laser-cut from plywood. The homeowner travels frequently and plans to post photos of the places she visits.
The back wall was painted with blackboard paint and you can write sayings, wishes or notes there.
Cozy, glazed balcony where you can drink coffee with friends or read
Small bathroom with bathtub
The owner's wish for the bathroom was to have a free-standing bathtub. Natural stone tiles in black and light gray were laid on the walls and floor. The bed made of black decorative gravel and the black 3D wall tiles are real eye-catchers. The trick to optically enlarge the room with mirrors was also successfully implemented here.
