Food & Wine is an American culinary magazine that publishes, among other things, great recipes. And this magazine has now opened a wonderful restaurant located in New York and more specifically in Manhattan. The aim of this restaurant is to present various culinary events. Restaurant design with an effective, open kitchen

When designing the interior of the restaurant, the designers were primarily concerned with connecting the chefs' area with that of the guests and avoiding exclusions. Additionally, there are hanging pieces of art that capture the thoughts of the chefs. Regarding the layout of the restaurant, the following can be said:
For the restaurant design on the first floor, materials were used that fit perfectly with the existing architecture and also have natural colors. Among them is walnut, black steel, concrete, leather. Glass can also be used to create several interesting accents, such as display cases. The first floor consists broadly of four areas.

On the one hand there is the bar or ratherLounge. This is located immediately to the left of the entrance and can accommodate a total of 25 people. The most impressive thing about the restaurant design here is the incredible length of the bar of 9 meters, which provides space for 7 bar stools. It is made of several types of wood, while the bar top is made of concrete and has effective metal details. The round table in which the bar ends on the opposite side is also made of concrete. It also has table legs made of walnut wood.
In order to make sitting comfortable, the restaurant design bar chairs made of leather seats and steel frames are used, which convey different words and messages, which in turn are embossed into the leather. There are also two elegant sofas in the lounge area, which are shaped like a kidney.

The restaurant design in the dining area is made of darker materials and can accommodate 65 people. The walnut tables come in different heights and shapes, while the chairs are made of black steel and leather upholstery. The main dining area is further defined by a large wine wall for storing various wines
For the dishes of theRestaurantThere is both an elegant and a casual version. The ceramic artist Jono Pandolfi is responsible for its production. The dishes decorate the table in combination with simple silver cutlery, glasses and napkins placed on brown paper.

Another eye-catcher in the restaurant design is the open kitchen. If you sit at the counter, you have the opportunity to personally watch the chef prepare the delicacies. There are also various tables here that have a table top made of a mix of marble and walnut. There is also a large extractor hood with a shiny surface hanging above the kitchen. And in case you're wondering what's hanging in the display case above the kitchen: it's a lump of salt weighing almost 600 kg. So make sure you have enough salt for seasoning.

There is also a private dining area, which differs from the rest in terms of restaurant design. This is located right next to the main dining area. Light-colored materials were used to furnish this area. These include white wooden tables with a worn look and a white ceiling. This area is primarily used for visiting chefs. The area has a blackboard where guests can leave messages. If the partition wall is opened to the private dining area, it can be used as an extension to the main dining area.
