Ingredients:

  • 3 heads of romaine lettuce
  • 220 grams grilled chicken, diced small
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1 Avocado
  • 2 eggs, hard-boiled
  • A small red onion
  • 1 yellow pepper
  • 2 root peppers
  • About 20 cherry tomatoes
  • 80 grams of blue cheese
  • 1-2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 50 ml red wine vinegar
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 30 grams of honey
  • 1 tbsp mustard, medium hot
  • 1/2 teaspoon each dried oregano and basil
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation:

  • Place the lettuce leaves on a large oval plate until you get the shape of a Christmas tree.
  • It's best to start with the longer, larger leaves at the bottom and gradually add smaller leaves as you work your way towards the top of the plate.
  • Place some chicken, avocado, diced eggs, bacon and onion in the layers.
  • Place the tomato halves on top with the cut side down and position them so that they look like ornaments.
  • To make the snow, sprinkle the blue cheese on top.
  • Cut a star out of the yellow pepper and place it on the Christmas tree.
  • Cut small squares out of the red pepper and decorate them with thin slices of cheddar. Place under the Christmas tree as gifts.
  • For the dressing, mix red wine vinegar, olive oil and honey and serve with the finished Christmas tree.

  • Cut small balls out of the beetroot using a ball cutter.
  • Place the kale on a large round platter and place it in a circle around a plate.
  • Distribute the beetroot, tomatoes, onions and goat cheese evenly on top.
  • Drizzle with the dressing just before serving and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 3 large tomatoes
  • 2 balls of 125 grams of Mozzarella
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • The grated peel of 1 orange
  • 2 EL Balsamic Essig
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

  • Whisk together the orange zest, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper in a bowl.
  • Cut the tomatoes and mozzarella into thin slices and alternately form them into a “candy cane”.

Festive salads for Christmas: Creamy potato salad with smoked salmon

Don’t get us wrong – we love our grandma’s potato salad! But at Christmas you can have something decadent, right? Full of flavor, incredibly creamy and delicious – this potato salad with smoked salmon is a great change from the classic.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 kilograms of potatoes, cooked
  • 300 grams of green beans
  • 1 small red onion
  • 300 grams of sour cream
  • 250 grams of Greek yogurt
  • 100 grams of capers
  • 100 grams of baby spinach
  • 2 Egg, heart purchased
  • The grated zest of 1 lemon
  • Fresh dill, chopped finely
  • 2 EL Senf
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation:

  • Cut the potatoes crosswise into thick slices and place in a bowl.
  • Place the beans in a pot of boiling water and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add onion and cook for 1 minute.
  • Drain and drain well.
  • Mix the bean mixture with the lemon zest in a bowl.
  • Whisk together sour cream, yogurt, capers, mustard and dill in a bowl.
  • Add about a third of the sour cream mixture to the potatoes and mix well.
  • Place half of the potato mixture in a large glass salad bowl.
  • Spread 80 grams of spinach on top and then top with the bean mixture.
  • Layer the smoked salmon and the remaining potatoes on top.
  • Top with remaining sour cream mixture and spinach.
  • Garnish with radish, eggs and extra dill and enjoy!

  • 1 apple, diced
  • 60 grams pecans or walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 20 grams of dried cranberries

Dressing:

  • 20 grams of maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp grated orange or tangerine peel
  • A pinch of coriander
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

  • Whisk all the dressing ingredients together in a bowl.
  • Put the ingredients for the salad in a bowl and mix well with the dressing.
  • Place in the refrigerator for about 20-30 minutes.
  • For the “tree top” simply cut a star out of a slice of bread and toast it.
  • Top the salad with the poinsettia and enjoy!
