Preparation:
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly in lukewarm water.
- Drain them and put them in a large pot. Check each individual potato and remove any black, green or damaged potatoes.
- Cover them with cold water and bring them to a boil. Let them simmer until almost cooked.
- Drain the potatoes.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the oil, bay leaves, thyme and garlic cloves.
- When the oil is hot, add the potatoes and stir well to coat with oil.

- Wash the potatoes and drain them.
