What is One Pot Pasta?
Pasta is one of the most popular dishes among Germans and, with a suitable sauce, is suitable for both lunch and dinner. With meat or vegetarian, with tomatoes or cream, simple or sophisticated – there is a recipe to suit every taste. To prepare a classic pasta dish, the pasta is boiled and a sauce is prepared separately. The two components are finally mixed and served. Will thatPasta also made by hand in advance, then things get really complicated. But there is a much easier way to prepare your favorite pasta yourself - one pot pasta!
Why one pot pasta? The name comes from English and can be translated as “pasta dish from a pot”. If you use a pan instead of a pot, it is called one pan pasta. The principle behind it is super simple - you put all the ingredients directly into the pot and then cook everything together, stirring occasionally. No more hassle of draining or washing different pots and pans. Finally, just season to taste and the quick dish is ready. And the best thing is that you always know exactly what ingredients are in it.
Tips for preparation
Since the sauce is cooked together with the pasta and water, it binds wonderfully and ultimately becomes delicious and creamy. Exactly how much water needs to be added depends on the recipe. If youempty the fridgeIf you want to experiment with your own recipe, start with less liquid and add more if necessary.
Although the classic one pot pasta involves adding all the ingredients to the pot at the same time and cooking them together, there are some recipes that require a few ingredients to be briefly sautéed. This applies, for example, to recipes that use raw meat or fish. Nevertheless, these recipes are very simple and do not require any special knowledge in the kitchen.
When preparing thesequick pasta dishesIt is important that the dish simmers the entire time. But you don't want it to boil too much, otherwise the noodles will stick to the bottom of the pot. When choosing noodles, you should also make sure that they are not too thick. Small types of pasta are recommended as they do not require as much time to prepare. You can halve spaghetti and linguini before cooking so that they cook evenly. If you want to use fresh pasta, you should adjust the cooking time. These usually take less time than the pasta from the package.
One pot pasta recipes for every taste
In itself, the classic pasta with a delicious sauce is not a complicated affair, but it always requires a little effort. The one-pot version is much quicker and is ideal for anyone who doesn't like cooking and is a novice cook who doesn't have a passion for cooking. You can even prepare and enjoy a pasta dish like this during your lunch break in your home office.
